Earthquake count: Magnitude less than 1 in all: 122 Magnitude 1 to 2 in all: 309 Magnitude 2 to 3 in all: 46 Magnitude more than 3 in all: 2 Total: 479 [ link to en.vedur.is] Quoting: Simple27 is this the Big Volcano on the Island that can do a lot of Huge Damage on a Global Scale I watch a Documentary on Iceland Volcano's and there are 1 or 2 that really can do some Major Shit. Quoting: Zombie Daddy in a Box That documentary was propably about Katla or Laki( Grímsvötn system).. Katla is a real witch and she's responible for 2/8 major Icelandic eruptions.. Grímsvötn are responsiple for 1/8 major eruptions and Bárðarbunga 2/8 major eruptions.. These are the three most dangerous volcano's here in Iceland. The thing with Grímsvötn and Bárðarbunga (which are somewhat interconnected systems) however is that since they are located far away from human settlements, unlike Katla, they are not very well documented throughout the ages.. They are however both extremely dangerous.. Here's why.. [ link to academic.emporia.edu] They both sit on top of the focus of the Icelandic mantle plume.. Quoting: Urður yes that was it thank you.
