When my daughter had a hard case of it about 2 years ago, the dermatologist had her doing lightbox treatments twice a week for 10 min. This is an equivalent of spending some time in the sun. vaccinefreehealth blogspot com The risk far outweighs any benefit as the risk will vary from child to child. facebook.com/graphixyourway |

I know it is not good for you so that is a last resort. Again, thank you! He who has the Son has life. He who has not the Son of God has not life. 1John 5:12 |

Also helps vitamin D production which boosts the immune system, which helps fight off infections as well. Either get a short sun bath every day or use the lowest level tanning beds for a half-max session 2x times a week. No reason to ever 'burn.' |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 47999183 United States 07/08/2014 03:37 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My dad has had bad psoriasis his whole life. Finally he was recommended for the light treatment. The only thing wrong with that was that the closest facility was over an hour away. His doctor said to go tanning instead and ever since he started, he hasn't had bad flare-ups. |

I take about 5,000I.U. units a day and it keeps my skin clear. Maybe this would work for you too? Why not try it? It's a cheap supplement too. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 21363812 Canada 07/08/2014 03:56 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Echoing a few suggestions already.... Limit (or cut out completely) the bad carbs like bread, pasta, sugar - they cause all sorts of inflammation in the body and prevent the immune system from functioning properly. Psoriasis may well be caused by topical fungi... Pure Neem Oil works very well for this. You may mix it with virgin Coconut Oil. Strengthen immune system - ingest healthy protein, green leafy vegetables and lots of spring water (not tap fluid). Supplementing with Vitamin C and a good Omega 3 fish oil will also help. Expose your skin to sunlight every day, about 15 minutes, to boost production of Vit D - and don't put chemicals (sunscreen) on your skin during this time. Good Luck :) |

Let the vinegar air dry on the plaque. This has brought relief from my psoriasis like nothing else in the last 26 years! You can also add the vinegar to your bath if you like. The trick is using a high grade ACV. Try googling ACV and psoriasis. Good luck, hope it helps! |

I know it is not good for you so that is a last resort. Again, thank you! It is related to vitamin D deficiency. You really need to tan a little bit to get enough vitamin D. 15 minutes is all it takes. Make sure they have low ballast type bulbs as they will produce UVB that is needed to produce vitamin D in the skin. [link to www.vitamindcouncil.org (secure)] It being bad for you is a complete BS. Don't fall for that. |

Run hot water through and into a bath. Sit in it for a while. The vit E in the oats calms the external symptoms and the relaxing hot bath calms the nerves that create the symptoms. It's a bit glupy but I hear it works a treat. I hope you feel better soon. |

User ID: 59677555 Canada 07/08/2014 04:39 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I had a three year battle where my hands became so raw I was using predizone(STEROIDS)to keep it under control as there were fears of secondary infection and it was becoming difficult to work.I was given creams to put on overnight and told it was stress or I was reacting to something I was touching.I had married, had a newborn with colic and moved from an apartment to a house in a new city. The choices of what were causing it were infinite. What a nightmare! Out of desperation I asked my dermatologist if there was something more proactive I could do as he seemed to be ok with continuing steroid pills and creams for the duration. It was decided to send me an allergist who tested me and started eliminating things in my diet and environment. It ended up I was allergic to the mustard family(broccoli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts and of course yellow mustard)of vegetables which my loving wife had begun to serve on a regular basis to keep me healthy. Within weeks my hands cleared up and except for a minor breakout(I love yellow mustard-the rest I hated so there was some good that came out of it) twice a year to which I apply a dab of steroid cream and limit yellow mustard and its gone.I can still eat some mustard but I must have gone over some sort of threshold. I hope my story might help you or someone else. |

Putting stuff on the spots just lifts the dead skin haven't found anything the actually got rid of it. The only one I might try is to stop eating is nightshades, this is something new to me. |

Good for you that it is better now! If I had it, or actually, no matter what I had, I would, and do, Liver Cleanses. Look up Hulda Clark Liver Cleanse Recipe. Some of what she says can be ignored, like using specifically -ornithine to sleep.-Melatonin will work just fine. Also, you don't need to be fishing in the toilet with a flashlight to see the gallstones. They will be plenty obvious. But she's right about how many. The average person has 2,000 in the liver. Your liver is plugged, and not processing like it should. Very likely that auto immunity is caused by debris that the liver just can't get rid of. Also, the liver is involved in stress. Secondly, iodine deficiency causes yeast and fungus. |

They all, and I mean all, contain detergents and have all natural glycerin removed for resale. Pine tar soaps, handmade, are supposed to be good. I really can't give medical advice, but I can say there are many good soapers on YouTube. Just use the search for them. PJ |
