Well, Presidential elections are very personality driven. So who the candidates are matters quite a bit. But given the political climate, historical trends, and the Presidents approval rating. Id give the edge to the Republicans. In my estimation, at that point the Republicans will control both houses and the White House. Turnout will clearly favor the Republicans this November, and I fully expect the Republicans to take control of the Senate.

If the Republicans are smart, they're begging Jeb Bush to run. Because he can maybe cut into the demographic problems that the Republicans are having in the big Presidential elections. Which is why it isnt a slam dunk that the Republicans can win. Its still way too early for any of this really.

Id peg him as #2, to sure up the right wing libertarian wing of the party. The mere fact that he is a Bush will win over the evangelicals. Plus, the guy is married to a Hispanic woman and speaks fluent Spanish. I still think that every person who is registered with a party leave that party...send a message that you are tired of the and republican party representing all people legal and illegal except the American taxpayer.

When do we get a break? High fuel prices, high food prices, high insurance and the biggest slap high taxes that we get NO say as to how our money is spent.

Most states have the option of changing your party affiliation on line...takes a few minutes.

Well no one is actually declaring their campaign so it's hard to say. I haven't heard hide nor hair from any political party about the upcoming elections. Normally there would be people all over the place since Obama only have 2 years left and this one is half over. I really hope it's not a Democratic or Republican. I'm so sick of those fuck ups, I want a political party that actually cares about America's well being.

One thing I absolutely detest in the primaries here in Indiana, is that you have to declare a party. Indiana is one of 7 states that still require you to declare in the primary, or you cannot vote. It disenfranchises voters. In the primary last month, we had a 12% turnout. In the general election in the Fall, the percentages go up, but not where they should be. A lot of people have quit voting entirely.
