My first husband treated his mother like crap.......he also treated me like crap. He also abused animals. My second husband always treated his mother with love and respect; he treats me with love and respect. And while he is not an animal lover like I am, he is very compassionate towards them. Just think how great the world would be if we all treated each other and our fellow creatures as we ourselves like to be treated......  What if you are a masochist? Should they treat animals the way they want to be treated?  ^^^^^^^ A REAL man! Would you save a drowning animal before a human?
