Nwoche said while he sympathized with the situation, he thinks the resolution does not accomplish anything substantial. He added he was disappointed in how a student who spoke against the resolution at an earlier meeting was treated by student senators, who laughed or had their backs turned when the lone protestor addressed the dais." Cause THAT'S not dehumanizing or anything. Friggin' libtard hypocrites. I have long feared that my sins would return to visit me, and the cost is more than I can bear. - The Patriot |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 7478714 United States 11/10/2013 02:01 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The UC Berkeley student government has banned the term “illegal immigrant” from its discourse, deeming the phrase racist, offensive, unfair and derogatory. Quoting: Frayed Knot In an unanimous vote, student senators passed a resolution that stated the word “illegal” is “racially charged,” “dehumanizes” people, and contributes to “punitive and discriminatory actions aimed primarily at immigrants and communities of color.” [link to www.thecollegefix.com] What else can you say but... If they actually had anyone there who wasn't a screaming hypocrite that person would go to the meeting and use those words. The "student government" would then have the choice of removing that person or not. If that person was removed then they may then go to court because the "student government" would have censored their 1st Amendment right to free speech in a public meeting in a public building at a public university paid for by tax dollars. Which is a civil right violation. |

How about Unlawful immigrant Or criminal immigrant I'm only human, it's my biggest flaw. We must all realize a sink a chair and a pillow are all luxuries of home and a soldiers helmet takes the place of all three. |
