You have many responses and I am wondering what conclusion you have drawn from all of the responses you have to your posting; -perhaps a brief statement of how you can get out from your awful landlord situation and possibly research another subsidized housing location. take care & don't let it get you down-you will survive this  A couple of great points were brought up. First - were all (as many as are able) going to show up at this month's board meeting and have a discussion. Second - I'm going to go to Miss Bebe's Church and see if there is a young person there who would be willing to wash the windows of the old folks. I can do my own. We would need to pay him, so I need to discuss what that amount would be with everyone else at our next meeting. Third - HUD will be here to inspect the Housing Authority on October 1st. If this is all we are left with, then I'll do the complaining so no one else needs fear being evicted for speaking out to the "purse strings".
