Let me explain-- If I am overly entranced with the beauty of this world, with love filled for Humanity, then how the heck am I going to be able to be in a constant state of letting go, therefore shattering the chains? It's quite the conundrumical catch-22, I say... I never understood how to control the upswing of the pendulum so thay the backswing wont be so bad. The upswing is wonderful. And i dont want to curb it I so well understand the pendulum dynamic you cite. I've been aware of it for about 15 years now... there's no greater teacher of how to balance one's self than this dynamic. Hindsight speaks this to me this evening...that is balance being the better part of control where pendulum dynamics are concerned. Heh, I was thinking about the following after I posted earlier - and wherein spirit is the bridge between soul and body - I used to wonder if life was a spiritual soul addiction...and if perhaps there wasn't something "broken" about my soul to have me here, hobbled like this. I don't feel that way anymore, but I've gone through many stages of thought about all aspects of what binds me to this reality realm. Now, for me, it can be summed up in one of my Fortune Cookie Proverbs-- Too smart to surrender to the gravity of life; too wise to just let go without resolution. And really, human beings and "addiction" - the need for consumption of the environment - is more complicated than we just having a pure lack of will. For some, pulling up one's boot straps and getting along happens more easily, for others it's more challenging...but the fact of the matter is: it's the rare human being, if any human being, who is making it on foot without looking where and how they're stepping. Getting outdoors before dawn and gulping in huge lungfuls of the stillness. Percieving every nuance of air, from the cool of the low places, to the breezes in the trees. Trotting down the street by moonlight, before anyone else is rousting around. Quoting: goodmockingbird The idea of being comfortable in a sleek body, trotting easily while others have not even roused to lumber around, out before anyone else even wakes up. Ahead of the game, so to speak. Eloquently put, almost poetic. You just inspired me to get off my fat ass. (as soon as this motherfucking heat wave passes here in California) |

There's a fine line between the two. How's your Faith resevoir hangin'? You never change things by fighting the existing reality.
