Anonymous Coward User ID: 21201441 United States 05/07/2013 12:42 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Last time I moved, found black widows, and other spiders, just hanging out in my teen son's closet - not good - and also in there, were many rolls of gift wrapping paper - I happened to glance inside only to find a LOT of spiders like to nest in the dry cardboard wrapping paper tubes! Check your tubes or, yikes... |

Using a plastic spoon, place a small amount on little pieces of foil. Place the foil inside cabinets, and other places the pets can't reach. The boric acid will dehydrate them, and the sugar will clog their legs and bodies. Sure death. It will kill ants and roaches as well. Also, you might try this: Most house pests hate eucalyptus oil, peppermint oil, and citrus oils like orange or lemon. Add a few drops to a spray bottle, add water, shake and spray around doors, cracks and crevices. Repeat twice a week. Anything harsh smelling that we don't like, the spiders will not like as well. They don't like the smell of apple cider vinegar. Spray ac vinegar around the kitchen or places you see the spiders. Some of the smaller roach baits will attract spiders, pick up a few of those and place them up in high areas. On the fridge or behind the stove. Finally, buy some sticky tapes for insects. The spiders will crawl on the tapes, become stuck there, and you can bag the whole thing and throw it away. You can make your own sticky tapes from masking tape. Just place the tape sticky side up, and trap the spiders. Good luck. Last Edited by Meadow1 on 05/07/2013 12:59 PM “So comes snow after fire, and even dragons have their endings.” ― J.R.R. Or even Lemon Pledge, spray it on all window sills and in all the corners and dark areas of your home. Quoting: Brandywine84 Yes, and orange oil too. I spray the window sills and corners, the back porch, anywhere they hide out. I've used Lemon Pledge and it works well too, but the orange spray is cheaper so I usually use it. The house smells like an orange for a while, but its better than smelling like poison. *********** WaterLily *********** " Do I dare Disturb the universe?" -- T. S. Elliot, Love Song of J. Kybeam User ID: 38437199 United States 05/07/2013 01:53 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Pesticides are largely infective on spiders unless sprayed directly on them. This is because spiders do not clean themselves and ingest the poison as insects do. Spiders are carnivores, they only eat insects or other spiders. If you have spiders it is because you have bugs. Get rid of the bugs and the spiders will leave. |

I use two in my crawl space under the house, two inside my house, and 1 in the attic. If you have crawl space vents on your foundation, close them off while fumigating. It will take about 3 hours. Nobody or pets inside the house during that time. If you dont also do the attic and the underhouse crawl space in addition to the inside house, you will not get rid of them. |

It's a trap that comes pre loaded with a sticky goo and you can either fold it or leave it flat and the spider is drawn to it by the scent it puts off and then they can't walk away. It is like quick sand for spiders. Quoting: beemerben 4757654 Yaaaaaaa. That sounds awesome. I can put them alot of places. Great idea. I will check the hardware store. I spray it all along my front door and back door. Obviously some still get in but near as many that would have had I not sprayed that stuff. |
