Ok you esoteric-hungry young padawans....

I know you've heard bad, bad things about Aleister Crowley. And indeed he didn't get it all right, as he was not a purist in many forms.

However, he knew where he came from. As should all of you.

Read his Liber collection and free yourself from the spoon-fed nuances of your "superiors".

Free yourself from the concepts that the Catholic church has injected into the human consciousness since their inception.

Fear is of another nature than you're accustomed. What do you dread? Do you lie on your back with sleep paralysis after a nightmare? Are your hairs standing up on end and you pray to your God to release you from this terror? Do you relinquish your own birthright for protection, the same as you do your government?

What if this fear is not real? What if the cause of the hairs standing all over your body and your sense of dread is of your own innate power and you don't recognize it as such? What if the devil sitting on your chest is there because you don't know any better and he's laughing at your ignorance?

Educate yourself. You are a star. A being of light. You have nothing to fear but fear itself.

Follow the divine instruction. The aeon exists for your evolution.

Re: Liber 777
Too many people hear all the false claims of Crowley and don't do enough reading to see that he was not only one of the brightest men in the history or mankind, but he was also very compassionate to those who are willing to face reality.

Liber 777 is good, but not his best work. From an initiated perspective, I would recommend the work of Kenneth Grant, another writer who has been demonised - even by the followers of Crowley - for his originality and far out concepts.

It's all up to you my friend. If you truly are interested in talking to someone who is familiar with both of the aforementioned writers works, as well as Frater Achad, Nema, and others, shoot me an email at itsallintheegg at gmail. I am always willing to chat with enquiring seekers of knowledge and light.

His works are all equal in my eyes. It's the context in which you use them :)

Crowley was a true genius in every sense of the word.

Agreed. The fact that the correspondence section was written from memory is amazing. I just think there could have been more body to it.. but I also find that what is left unsaid also says quite a bit too.

Crowley's work is a double-edged sword.. but it all has its rightful lock we each have our own necessary keys to.

Yes it is truly a double edged sword if someone breaks down that door without a key.

Your intuition about what is left unsaid will serve you well :)

His legacy was certainly tainted by those who twisted it for their own purposes, and his own ambitions dramatically impaired his impact, but you can say the same for nearly every great mind. Just another tortured soul trapped in the machinery of evil, trying to make sense of it all.
