I've been getting flashes of light, different colors. Lately, too, I see faint rainbows all through the clouds, and things in life are falling into place. Meditation is starting to improve, I guess!

Yeah your right, had an experience like this before too. I was startled out of a deep sleep not by light but by a strong familiar smell.

When I woke up at first, my eyes were watery and I was tingling and shaking all over. At first I thought it was my wife again but it turned out to be the dog. Dogs dont sleep in my room anymore.

It happen to me all nights :-) Sometimes I can even see real places withing a glimpse of a seconds but then when I unfocus, it vanishes away.
Don't worry, is your third eye working. If you intend and practice, you can develop your third eye even more. Soon,you can start to see geometric shapes.

Seriously though, I did have an experience like this once before that I can remember. Flash of light, shaking and then tingling but nothing came of it, remembered seeing a shadow or shadows. Although now that I thinking about it, I have had recurring dreams of flying over things cities as I can see the lights below but mostly over water and especially very large rivers. Never thought anything of or paid attention to it. Not logical in my mind

Light flashes precede astral projection. Buzzing sound comes next, but you need to be hardcore to not be jolted out of meditation when this happens.

Got into obe lucid dreaming two years ago at age 30
But since my one obe I haven't been able to do it

Reminds me of an interview I saw of the moon landing astronauts. They would see bright flashes while trying to sleep either in space, or in the lander on the surface of the moon. It turns out these bright flashes were due to particles from the sun going through their brains. They couldn't actually feel anything, because the particles were almost atomic in size. But this is what they were, and the bright flashes were the only perception they had of them. Later electron microscope analysis of the astronauts' helmets revealed the tiny "bullet hole" type craters from these particles.

I wonder if the earth's magnetic field is failing on occasion, and letting these particles impact the earth's surface?
