Watched TV for the first time in 7 years. I was floored how obvious the control, hate and fear mongering is. Can't people see it???

we are very selective about what we watch. record most things then FF through the poxy adverts

if i am watching something and i spot an agenda, i stop watching. the bbc in particular will sneak AGW in to most any programme they possibly can

i have the news on when i am home, in the background. i like to scoff, laugh and rage at the so-called news

but i know the sort you mean, they watch all the shit. talent shows, soaps. i have no idea how they dont get bored with it at the very least. fuckwits, the lot of them

I'm having a dreadful time at the moment with people who are fucked up on TV. It's a drug. They all live like they are in a soap and whatever they THINK is therefore the truth. I was told my my ex's mom I was just "showing off" for having no TV!! It seems to me that the whole world has gone degenerate and the freedom we thought we had is now controlled. I am a loving, free person and I'm getting attacked left right and centre by TV zombies who feed on jealousy anger and control. I even got beat up badly a short while ago by a girl I tried to help, for hugging her! - she said I must be a lesbian. (Not that there's anything wrong with that, I just ain't) Everything has gone pear shaped. How does it please, please, please, get any better than this?????? Forgive them father. they know not what they do?

Having been out of work for about 3 years,I find it disgusting how tv carries on with commercials telling me to buy a new car or some other thing I don't want/can't afford & don't need.This world has been in a DEPRESSION since '08 but they continually act as though everything is normal.I.E.in the immortal words of Bush Jr.,"Go shopping".The absolutely most depraved,sickening adverts are the ones that say "you can buy this house CHEAP".Why?because they were repossessed.So I'm supposed to prosper from someone else's misery?Sad days indeed.

Right there with ya', OP. 4yrs and counting for me. Whenever I'm in a situation where there is a television, I literally become numb.

I marvel at the idiocy, the non-stop, full frontal assault on the senses with commercials and BS infotainment.

I remember back in the 80s the movie Robocop came out and there was a scene where they were showing how insane TV had become in the future...and it was mayhem...it was something like models walking around and the host was screaming, "I'll buy THAT for a dollar!!!"....or something. And now that scene seems normal. Soon our society will be that of "Idiocracy"....

I literally can't stomach it anymore...it's poison.

I call it 'Shampoo & Conditioner'...1st they wash your brain nice and clean with the shampoo and the condition you very cleverly thereafter....

I stopped watching TV over 7 years ago out of disgust about what trash was being shown. Since then I surf the web or watch movies on my computer. I was in a motel with no Internet access last night and I turned the TV on for the first time out of boredom. I was just amazed, no actually beyond amazed. The fear, hate and control was almost beyond belief. So called reality shows with burned out actors being made to break down on camera. Sex, crime and hate on all channels. The news was the worst.

Please understand. I am not a fundamentalist nut or a prude. I grew up with TV like everyone else. I stopped watching because I got sick of the BS, but TV today is simply beyond belief.

My point of this thread is that the change to our world comes so slowly, we are tricked into not noticing the changes. This was the best proof that I have had in a long time that the world really is heading toward a cosmic singularity point very soon. I was completely floored by what people are subjected to 12 hours a day, especially children. No wonder people feel so afraid, angry and panicked.

I would be in panic myself if I watched that every day!

Please, please stop and realize what is being done to you and your family.

I stopped watching TV in the early 1980s. I have since only seen it whem I happened to be visiting someone who was watching it, which could be years between each incident, since I have never had friends. I got used to being shocked by the changes every several years, but I am still always more shocked than I have come to expect by the exponentially accelerating rottenness of it. I used to expect the pendulum of public tastes to swing back to something less stupid and lewd, but it never did. It is being relentlessly driven downward by evil people.

I too am absolutely appalled. We in India used to watch David letterman and Newhart. Now mainstream seems to be Dexter (psychotic and gruesome beyond belief), Supernatural and Desperate housewives.

I did my undergrad and grad in the US in the 90 's and I remember a happy, good & exceptionally optimisitc people. IT IS BEYOND MY UNDERSTANDING WHERE HAS ALL THIS COME FROM ?

Am worried at times - I do not want my 18 year old to watch all this. 90 % of programming telecast in India is from the US. As the supreme world power do you not owe the world to exercise greater discrimination and sense as to what you put out ???

Can mass control be this easy? As the premise of a frog that is placed in boiling water, it will jump out, but if it is placed in cool water that is slowly heated, it will not perceive the danger and will be cooked to death.

Is that what we are letting happen to us? Have I been blessed to not have been subjected to such mind control and that is why I see the world differently?

I think yes to your answer. Between the fucked up music, TV, MSM, and the internet, I can see the obvious. I think a gigantic massive solar storm taking all this shit down would be a blessing. I rarely watch TV as I to find it loathsome and mind controlling bullshit.

Imagine this time as a climax where every emotion (fear, anger, hate, greed) is exaggerated by someone or some group. As I said before, this is the ultimate test we are now facing.

You can give in to your fear, hate and anger like all the others around you or you can be different and follow your heart. I am not saying that this path will be easier, but it will bring you peace.

Not many will walk this path. I know life is tough right now. All I can suggest is that you listen to your heart and try not to be afraid.
