You see noone asking for handouts? Really? Demanding the government pay off the student loans you knowingly took out for degrees that you spnt no time doing research for to assure that the job growth would be secure? That is exactly what I did. I put no effort towards researching the degree I bought, and it bit me in the @ss. I fell down, and I got back up. Demanding the government pay your mortgage that you could never afford to begin with because you walked into that bank and lied about your income, taking out a loan already above your means, and then when it all came crashing down you were even more screwed then you were to begin with? That was your fault. The banks may have made it easier for you to take out the foolish loans, but are you so ignorant you dont see whose fault that still is? They are demanding charge offs to their credit cards, but yet I bet that flat screen they charged is still stitting in the living room as well. So, ok if these arent handouts, what are?

Not to mention I havent seen one person on here mention that welfare is what drove up the debt as high as it is, but it still boils down to socialism. If everyone put forth the effort, they would have equal opportunity. Mindset like yours is why people no longer know how to create their own stability.

You can make that argument if you want, but if you small percentage of looters disrupt society and cause the majority of us who are working and contributing to society to lose our livelihoods, you will have awakened a mighty sleeping giant that will put sacks of shit in your place once and for all for a very long time.
