Ever had a job? If so, who hired you? It was either a successful person or the govt. If those people do not hire you, you do not have a means of support short of living in a very rural area & subsisting off the land. Do not depend on a .gov job; that well is soon to run dry.

You condemn others for partaking of the benefits of a system they have paid taxes into. Do you utilize the established infrastructure? Do you enjoy the crime deterrance of police protection, etc? If the overthrow of the govt you so greatly wish for occurs, where will these protections come from?


How do you plan to provide for your shelter & sustenance? Do you hunt? Do you have agricultural skills? Do you have any skill that is of value in the society you dream of? It will not be a case of daily strolling in sunny meadows.

You need to think this through -- long term consequences.

I've been self employed for 37 years. I own a machine tool business where I employ currently 17 well paid hard workers that I both admire and respect. I have invented technology that has literally created 1000s of jobs for various companies that have contracted our services. In my shop I have 12 million dollars of equipment, ALL PAID FOR.

I'm in a business that the giant corporate reptiles can't steal and take to communist China. I'm fortunate in that regard, unlike many other small business owners like me that have been decimated by global opportunists.

I have to pay a 35% tax rate on anything over 250K. However, the bloodsuckers on Wall Street can make millions in profits, while producing NO jobs, and yet pay only 15% tax rate on UNLIMITED profits, millions or even billions in fact. That's right. They only have to pay 15% tax. I have to pay 35% and I'm creating jobs. DOES THAT SEEM FAIR TO YOU?

So... is there anything else that you would like to lecture me on, Buttercup?

I find it impossible to believe you. I can't fathom that someone who has actually achieved what you say you have can misdirect their hate in such a juvenile way. Rather than shit on Wall Street, you should direct your ire to a punitive government and support LOWERING the corporate tax rate.

If you had achieved what you say, you would realize WHY jobs get sent overseas - it's too fucking expensive to hire an American in America AND THAT is the government's doing.

There are some that have serious issues with enemy identification - like the guys who make Ben and Jerry's ice cream and Michael Moore, so maybe you are who you say and you're just a political MORAN.

Whatever, it doesn't really matter. Have your employees unionized on your ass yet? If not, I guarantee you they think they're worth much more than whatever it is you're paying them. They'd probably love to and show YOU who's boss.

The have the misguided notion from watching people like Beck; that only young, unemployed, inarticulate pawns participate in OWS. They're wrong as road kill.

There are many small business people like me that are fed up with the inequality between small business and muti-billion dollar stock flipping operations that don't produce shit, pay little or no taxes, and use K street to pull the strings for them in Congress.

I say, let Wall Street implode, we have enough enterprising small business people that will rise like a Phoenix from the ashes. That's how this country was built in the first place, by people that actually produced something; not Guinea worms that flip stock, commodities, real estate, and a lot of other shit that doesn't produce a single fucking job.

OWS is heading in the right direction, that's why the plutocrats are savagely trying to beat it back with their relentless propaganda.

People that say they don't want people getting assistance do tend to be hypocrites themselves. They are as bad as the parasites they criticize. The one thing about the invention of the Internet is the window you have into people's true selves, and you were better off not knowing. The Internet has driven me to hate humanity.

I don't know about preferring communism. What can bbe worse than being beaten for not working, like in china? Or asking to be paid for you work and being put in a work camp or being taken outside and slain, as in Russia back in the day.

Here's the deal... The left tries to heap a dump truck load of guilt on ANYONE who doesn't agree with them.

Even if you think that some people need assistance, but don't think the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT should be running the program, then they will say you a greedy bastard that doesn't care about the poor.

You have to understand that their attempt to make you feel guilty has nothing to do with the poor. It has everything to do with keeping the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT power intact and growing.

Everyone I know understands that some people need help, However, we understand that there are plenty of charities to handle those truly in need.

The FEDERAL GOVERNMENT doesn't offer assistance, it creates DEPENDENCE and it creates and feeds CORRUPTION.

So, whenever you hear some left-tard trying to make you feel guilty for not wanting to support the poor, realize it's all just a ruse and their real objective is to feed the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.

We want to offer assistance to the poor, we just don't want the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT to be in charge of it.

That makes complete sense to me. I know for a fact my church helps people with a simple phone call. They dont even ask for income varification, and you do not have to attend the church to recieve help. We have a food pantry the size of a small convienience store that allows them to use buggies to "shop" free of charge. No questions asked. The only questions asked are how many kids in the home so we know how many boxes of powdered milk to give. I have volunteered a few times and I have seen people turn around and walk out because they were grossed out by the powdered milk and generic canned food. Yet its FREE. But no matter how often I speak my mind about it its like talking to a brick wall....noone gets it. And I should mention its a baptist church....yes one of the few baptist churches that offer help but this town is full of methodist and catholic churches that do the same thing.

EXACTLY.

The federal government never, EVER gives ANYTHING without getting something in return. It's all about CONTROL. It starts with children in the public school system: dumb them down. Don't teach kids what they NEED to know, just what progressives WANT them to know -- which turns out to be just enough to breed dependence. Oh, but of COURSE kids'll learn all about LBGT issues and how to make babies by the age of 12.

Continue the dumbing down/control process with popular culture. Much of it encourages ignorance, immorality and dependence on central government while discouraging solid family and spiritual values.

And all along the way, government strengthens its control over us with overwhelming regulation in virtually every area of life. So by the time a kid reaches adulthood, he believes:

I'm not really responsible for anything.
The government will provide for me.
The government knows what's best for me.
The whole "God" thing is a joke.
I have a right to material and financial success.
My "country" doesn't matter. All that matters is me.

The Occupy Movement is full of these people.

While you are right that the government does create dependance, you are wrong in assuming all supporters feel the way you described.
In fact many of us who do support what these people stand for do not support the entire ideology.
To place blame as you both have on one group(leftists)shows your own ignorance and brainwashing of this situation.
The entire system is flawed and wrong, it must be changed.
If it was working you would not have so many people complaining.
I do agree that I think the movement was started by people with ulterior motives that I do not trust.
But the majority of supporters have legitimate reasons and have the best of intentions.
Let's just all be honest here, the majority of people who are against the movement are the good 'ol boys who do not want change.
They want to keep all their riches, and all of us poor people in our so called place.

If you really are a small business owner (and I don't believe for a second that you are), Name off some of the tax forms you file every year? Anything, like a W-9, 1099-misc, etc.. Go ahead, tell me all the forms you would file, this won't give away your business, but it has potential to show your full of crap.

I think what this really boils down to can be summed up in a very short few bullet points..

1. we don't owe you anything, get over it

2. I didn't make your bad choices for you.

3. If your movement was real, you wouldn't be mad at wall
street for your 50k student loan, you'd be mad at your college for such outrageous fees.

4. The government determines fees and taxes, so if someone is paying too little or too much, who's fault is that? the government, not wall st.

5. 15% of 1 million dollars is just as fair as 15% of 40k, Why should someone pay more just because they are making more? You guys wonder why our manufacturing has moved overseas where the taxes aren't 35+%
