Re: Have you ever had God smack you in the Face? I just did.
Many Promsises in the Bible here are just a few:

Jer 1:12........ "I am ready to perform My Word."

Jn 16:24....... "Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full."

Mt 21:22........."...whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive."

Jer 33:3......... "Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things..."

Jn 14:14........ "If you ask anything in my name, I will do it."

Jn 16:23........ "...whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you."

Jas 5:16........ "The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man
avails much."
Job 22:27...... "You will make your prayer to Him, He will hear you..."

1Jn 5:14........ "Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us."

1Jn 5:15........ "And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him."

Jn 14:13........ "And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son."

Isa 55:11....... "So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it."

Jn 15:7.......... "If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you."

Mt 18:18........ "Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven."

Mt 18:19........ "Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven."

Jn 15:16........ "You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you."

Jer 29:12........ "Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you."

Isa 65:24........ "It shall come to pass that before they call, I will answer, and while they are speaking I will hear."

Ps 91:15........ "He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him."

Ps 141:2......... "Let my prayer be set before You as incense, the lifting of my hands as the evening sacrifice."

So what do I got to do to get God to answer my prayers ... What kind of hoops does he want me to jump thru? Jesus never says only if it is my will ... but just ask. Why are you putting words in Jesus's mouth.

Re: Have you ever had God smack you in the Face? I just did.
good realization op.. me personally i dont have cent to my name.. nor do i have any ways or means to make a cent nor do i care to fall into that reality as i am boarding with some relatives and i got free board and i get fed.. i do have a cigarette addiction though cause of all the stress of their i have to deal with daily and im on my last packet and cant buy another pack until later on next week.. but that seems to be the only problem other than the government forcing me to be injected with an anti psychotic drug that makes me depressed as it isnt meant for me.. i havent got any friends or anyone left in this town and without money or a car i cant just get around or do anything other than sleep and use the computer and my smoke are my time wasters and stress relief.. so that about somes up my life.. im young yet practically bed ridden, have nothing to live for.. i have to be humiliated by boarding and living here where im not treated with much respect or any love yet my enemies of past have made it clear that this is about as good as my life can get in this state so i just go with the flow and take the blows daily while being bored to death.. but that being said i still look ahead to a better life in a better place and make the most of what i do have an am thankful for what i do have here.. yeh they have destroyed any ounce of self respect i once had and tried to rearange not only my life but also my mind and myself.. but that they will never achieve.. i dont even have faith in god being able to end this mess of a world any longer.. the only person i can rely on to end this mess is myself.. when the time comes i know i will stepp out of this miserable existence and find myself in the true reality that is meant for all the beings of light.. yeh force me to play their role while they drained every bit of life out of me daily and wont stop acting on me until im dead.. and if they had the option theyd even try and go on with their agenda against me after death cause i have died and come back many times during the underworld experience yet i am still here and even though i dont have hope in anything outside myself i still have that inner strength to know i can make it better even though i lost control of the experience a long time ago.. also iv got warrant out for my arrest and have court tomorrow for all kinds of bull shit charges against the state cause i faught back the police while being assaulted by them and now their trying to make me in the wrong.. im not even gonna play into that game im just gonna sit here and wait until they finally arrest me and lock me up so that at least my life can move.. yeh how lame im looking forward to jail cause my lifes so fucked up but hey at least i will be free from a worse prison.. so yeh.. its all a state of mind.. if you have peace within no matter what your circumstances all is well ;)

Re: Have you ever had God smack you in the Face? I just did.
After a very stressful morning caring for my father who has Alzheimer’s and splitting my last $24 with my wife for gas with little to no income on the horizon (the real estate market sucks and I am a broker), my wife said as I was going out the door for work, “I am so ready for this life to be over.” I had agreed, stating that “it wasn’t much of one, that’s for sure.” I had hit rock bottom. When I stopped for gas, I was worried about running out later in the week, and our insurance lapsing, and the check engine light on my dash, and my breaks needing to be replaced and so on and so on and so on. While I was pumping my gas, an obvious drug addled and homeless guy in his late teens to early 20's came up and begged for change. I told him, "sorry man I just put my last dime in the tank." I started to get even more depressed. I got into my car feeling like the world was falling down on my shoulders. I looked down and realized I had a bunch of change in the console. Then I remembered bits of a story I had once heard about Jesus or an angel posing as a beggar, who asked someone for help and was turned away. I called the guy over and gave him the change. He then asked if I knew anyone who was hiring, I told him Walmart and Staples, he said, "I can't work for them because I don't have address right now.” That was when God smacked me in the face, with the realization that I actually have it pretty good. I pulled out of the gas station praying for that kid instead of myself.

Just something to think about.

Now, take that smack and realize that everything that is going on right now is of your own making. Your thoughts create emotions, your emotions create actions or inactions, your actions or inactions create your reality.

Get rid of all the negative thoughts, replace them with thankfulness and happiness and positive thoughts and watch your problems melt away as YOU create a new reality for yourself.

God is trying to wake you up, but with free will, you must make the choice.

Just something else to think about.
 Quoting: Merci

That's really true I've found. Negative attitudes seem to cause more problems in one's life, attracts bad people to you, bad events, things go downhill. You have to stay positive as a defense.

And still. That homeless guy probably isnt starving like the people in africa. Something to think about.

That doesn't say much for god does it? So much pain and suffering....according to "his word," he is almighty and has dominion over all. BBUUUUUTTTT he doesn't. He allows people to suffer, even to the point of having the thought of "Im so ready for this life to be over."

I think Epicurus said it best...

“Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able?
Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing?
Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing?
Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God?”

but other than Religious people think about this quote and come to a shocking realization, they will attack me, because god is all the hope they have....and that is sad.
 Quoting: BrokenFreeDMT

God did not invent evil, he merely gave us freewill. Evil
was invented by man. But God surely uses all things for the
greater good.
If the hypothesis is that being poor is "evil" than why aren't all rich people "good"?
I believe that God sends us misfortune to test us and build
character.

While its something to think about truly. He is still in very bad condition.

I've heard this before. Its like saying, you only had you gallbladder removed in your surgery, but this guy had both his gallbladder and appendics, and they're debating who's suffering the most in recovery in the hospital.

Suffering is suffering and there are more people suffering in this world in various horrendous conditions, from the poor in our countries, who still have homes, to the homeless, to the third world.

The planet is run by the same corrupt slavers, as a hellzone, WAR/Starvation is the symbol for earth in the cosmos.

I think we were meant to shine our lights more here.
The Devil tries to convince everyone he doesn't exist.
The state tries to convince everyone they cannot resist.

Ok, quick Bible lesson here...Eve ate of the tree of life and Adam joined her in going against God..what happened at that moment was this...Adam turned the Title deed of earth and all mankind over to satan in that moment..we must overcome the evil of this world..believe that Jesus died on the cross for our sins and 3 days later, was raised. You do not have to do anything but believe and have faith. That was Jesus' gift. He overcame sin and evil. All we have to do is believe. People think we have to do deeds and works..no...when you come to Christ, that will come natural, but it is not what gets you in to HEAVEN.

Re: Have you ever had God smack you in the Face? I just did.
Thanks for sharing your story, OP. I know I'm not the only one who's been through a rough time lately. I keep telling myself maybe it's because we are so close to the Rapture (those of you who don't believe can shush...this is MY story) and God doesn't want us to leave a lot of stuff behind for the left-behinders.

Unless they change the laws it takes 7 years for someone who disappears to be declared legally dead, so just when they think they're finally gonna get our stuff, we're coming back...does God have a sense of humor or what?

I never thought of that! Thank you for that, I needed the laugh. And for what it's worth I agree with you. Keep looking up.

So what you are saying is God shows favortism ... some of his children are blessed with riches, health, protection , etc ... and then other children are cursed with poverty, sickness, stress, etc. ... How is that fair? God exaults some with prestige and honor and others are considered the scum of the earth ... HUH?

NO! Satan is the god of this world..some people may seem blessed and happy, but they are receiving their reward here and now..those that you call the scum of the earth are laying their treasures up in HEAVEN! I would rather suffer here, which is not even close to what JESUS went thru..and have my reward in HEAVEN.

So why does it have to be either/or treasure here and now or in heaven? Why doesnt God take care of his people like the servents of old ... King David comes to mind ... He was both rich , mighty, and a man after Gods own heart and blessed extensively... but it seems to me that God lets his children suffer even after all the promises he makes to us? He says no suffer in whatever situation you are in and he will make a way... Yet I was in Haiti on a mission trip with the church I attended .. God fearing people suffering like crazy ... yet God just lets them suffer no matter how much they pray ... mothers praying for there children to have food to eat ... yet children dieing left and right ... I guess it isn't Gods will to save the children of Christian mothers ... if not the what the hell is Gods will?

dont you realize? this world is hell and has many layers of it.. the illusion is god and satan yet neither are good.. jesus christ who was also adam is the true lord and savior and the machine above computing and enforcing this hell upon all the true beings of light is nothing moore than an evil corrupted out dated machine which had almost perfected the enslavement of all light beings so that it may give power and authority to the evil aliens that took over and assumed control of this hell world and made it their paradise and our torment.. the ones living the so called better life here are the enforcers of hell upon those beings of light who are pure at heart and deserve the best yet they have nothing but pain and suffering.. when your time comes you find the light within and step into a better reality.. dont rely on any god or devil to bring the end for that boat has sailed.. even the christ himself along with his elect is here amongst it all and he doesnt even care about the game or saving any of the illusion anymore.. he is even sick and tired of all the hell gone overboard experienced by us all and he is about to step out with his elect and leave this place to rot..

God Bless you! I will give you hope. Things will get worse before Christ comes. But after that heaven on earth. Mother Theresa wished she would be alive to see this. It will be a hard time but then Beautiful. All you have to do is pray and God will show the way! We are getting close and we will see the power of God! Amen!

Hey brother - I want to encourage you - its all about surrender...*full* surrender to Jesus and His Will! The thing that I came to learn when the smacking started for me, is that I was really seeking for Him to bless my will...to bail me out, to do this or that...after months and months of just getting by but not understanding how because none of it worked according to what was coming in verses what needed to go out! To this day, we have many months behind us that we cannot explain, except for God! He Is Faithful! But His Will verses our will and desires reveals a unimaginably vast difference! So today...its more a matter of looking *and accepting* what He wants, regardless of what that looks like! If it pleases Him and serves His purpose to prosper me...Praise God! If it pleases Him and serves His purpose to slay me...Praise God! If a life of poverty is in His Will...Praise God! Yet though He slay me, will I trust in Him! Ever since I've come to that place of thinking...the stress has dropped dramatically! I know it may sound trite, but He IS Faithful! Will pray for you!

Dear One,

God does not interfere in the lives of those souled creatures that embraced duality without first someone knocking on his door.

Free will is a curse of duality that seperates us from God.
God does not want us to suffer but our own choices create our suffering,
God wont interfere with what humanity has chosen through freewill. It was human choice that caused and still causes suffering an evil.

He will give you another chance after you die, over and over, until He returns...THEN your soul shall perish...

at least that's what I believe.

He loves you SOOOO much, that's why you get chance after chance after chance for you to accept and love Him. But you must be willing to experience Him first!!!

...and if you deny Him, He will give you yet more chance after chance to accept His love. By His grace you are saved.

Luke chapter 10

Behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tested him, saying, "Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?"

He said to him, "What is written in the law? How do you read it?"

He answered, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself ."

He said to him, "You have answered correctly. Do this, and you will live."

But he, desiring to justify himself, asked Jesus, "Who is my neighbor?"

Jesus answered, "A certain man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he fell among robbers, who both stripped him and beat him, and departed, leaving him half dead. By chance a certain priest was going down that way. When he saw him, he passed by on the other side. In the same way a Levite also, when he came to the place, and saw him, passed by on the other side.

But a certain Samaritan, as he traveled, came where he was. When he saw him, he was moved with compassion, came to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. He set him on his own animal, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him. On the next day, when he departed, he took out two denarii, and gave them to the host, and said to him, 'Take care of him. Whatever you spend beyond that, I will repay you when I return.'

Now which of these three do you think seemed to be a neighbor to him who fell among the robbers?"

He said, "He who showed mercy on him."

Then Jesus said to him, "Go and do likewise."

True happiness is not a "bulging wallet". Obviously in this society we are taught to believe that whomever has the most money would be the happiest, but this society is also obviously lost.
I don't believe God does anything for or against us. This life is a learning experience, and we choose our own paths, not because of rewards or the promise of heaven or the damnation of hell, but because we need to learn we are all one. This is true happiness, something we struggle for our whole lives. The intimacy of full trust and love of another. I believe God is the epitome of both, and something we are all searching. We are merely mortals, and although we cannot fully comprehend what is to come, we feel we can almost touch it. In this society of man we attempt to replace this desire with money, and power. They more we succumb to it, the further we get from what we are truly searching for, leaving us feeling empty and lost.
Appreciate what you have. Empathize with others instead of hate. You come into this world with nothing, you will leave with nothing, other than what you have learned through the experiences of this life, and your interactions with others.
Live life joyously.hf

So much anger and hatred in response to this thread. For those of you out there that are posting complaints about how "God doesn't keep promises", or "God is unfair because some of His followers suffer", or my personal favorite, "God isn't blessing you with a fat wallet because you aren't good enough or you aren't doing enough" etc. etc. etc.

I have one thing I must say, God does NOT cause suffering! Yes, sometimes he ALLOWS Satan to cause suffering in life. But no where in any scripture does it say, "Follow me and I will make you rich beyond the dreams of avarice." That is a promise that ONLY Satan ever makes. In fact, over and over in the Bible it tells us that followers of Him will be persecuted, and hated for His name. I do not seek wealth, although money is necessary. I do not seek fame, but God may someday thrust that upon me. I do not seek absolution, but Jesus gave that to me freely. I DO seek to follow His guidance, and to do his will. If I do these things God will always give me what I NEED. Not what I WANT.

For those of you out there that think, why is God punishing me when I follow Him? Why am I not rewarded the way King David was? I just have one thing to say...Read the book of Job in the Bible.

Maybe, just maybe, the reason we are made to suffer as Christians is because we are DOING SOMETHING RIGHT!
Matthew 6:27 And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life?

Matthew 6:34 “So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."

WORD! Great post, friend!!!

I love hearing truth around here. This has been an excellent thread.

I was just an athiest about 4 months ago, I used to hate people who said things in God's name. In my eyes, God changing me is the ultimate proof that He exists. Yes, there is suffering, but the despair of an empty heart, void of God, is worse than anything I can describe. I lived it so I know...
In this game the lesson's in your eyes to see, though things change, the future's still inside of me. We must remember that tomorrow comes after the dark, so you will always be in my heart, with unconditional Love.
