It's a little difficult to be a spelling/grammar nazi when a good chunk of the people on this site speak/write English as a second language.

But when I see Americans posting in txt talk or writing long unending sentences with painfully absent grammar, I do cringe.

When I post a comment on GLP from my IPad, while riding home on the bus; typing on a touch screen becomes quite the game in and of itself.
You are keying a sensitive touch pad, the bus hits a bump.. a person bumps into you and you are squeezed into your seat by someone who is twice the size of what those seats are meant to handle. So if there is a spelling mistake, you'll have to excuse me.
The 45 minute bus ride goes by so quickly when I'm focused on an interesting thread and posting My 2 cents worth. I don't see myself abstaining from GLP because a spelling mistake got by me.

As a licensed teacher, I give everyone on this thread permission to express themselves freely, without worrying about spelling and grammar.

If you disagree, then you are a moran without a brian.

Communication is method for mutual understanding. If you understand the message spelling is a moo point.

A moo point, like a cow's opinion... you know, no one gives a crap about a cow's opinion.

in some instances misspelling certain words and/or substituting alternate letters into the mix contrary to websters guidelines for same, down to and including random capitalizations midword, is done purposefully in effort to add another layer/level of contextual intention to what one is attempting to share, whereby only those with the ability to decipher such as same "get it"

if that makes no sense to you then you aren't one of them, and if you aren't one of them you clearly aren't supposed to be

in which case you will rant and rail in effort to make things as dull, bleak, and single minded as is humanly possible. if you don't like the poetic authority exercised thereby then file it under "does not compute" and blame it on the moon

(they say that which bothers someone in "anothers" regard is eerily similar to identical shortcomings often found within their own nature)

note: the word "anothers" is incorrect as such apparently, but there you have it and so it be.

that together with both 'yore' and 'thanx'

due to the construction of OP's offering thusly it was difficult to discern if he/she were merely presenting us with examples of that which warranted his/her complaints in truth (and being facetious in the doing)

or just boldly hypocritical in nature

'thanx' being a common misconstruction effecting purposely engendered slang and/or personal preference

'yore' however being a poor example if that were OP's intention in the offing since it constitutes an entirely alternate meaning than would 'your' in any case

which leaves us with half a dozen possibilities on the one hand with regard to perceived authoric intention and at least 6 on the other to add to all doubt

(reinforced in kind in this instance/example by using "dozen" initially and then changing horses midstream to follow up with a numeric '6')

to be effective in either regard both slang and/or misspellings need to be consistent with whatever context the author's intending at the time
