Hard. I lost my dog that I'd had 11 years a year ago in July. I still miss her every day. getting a new dog helps.

Why are we so sedate at the death of great young men? Like it is normal?

This picture breaks the conditioning in some way, like a mourning child he does not really understand.

I just watched a very well-acted movie called 'Red". It's on Netflix.

Love not loyalty

If you look in the dictionary.....Loyalty is another word for love, loyalty is more than a feeling, if we had what that pup has for his master, the world would cease to continue in pain and wars.

Not so faithful -- right now dogs are being skinned alive in China and Korea, being being shot for "fun" by US troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, are having animal control officers jam needles into their hearts here in the US (instead of a vein as they are supposed to), right now somewhere "men" are cheering on a dog fight, etc. For every horror story you hear about a pit bull mauling a human there are hundreds of thousands of cases where the cruelty is the other way around.

Dogs are supposed to be "man's best friend" but man doesn't really deserve to have one.

Very sad....but at the same time blows me away that dogs can be so loyal. This instantly reminded me of this story.


My friend just recently got an akita inu. What a great dog! amazing personality.

If I may respectfully say so sometimes you are a strange God. Though you love all mankind, It seems you have special predilections too.

You seem to love those men who can stand up alone who face impossible odds, who challenge every bully and every tyrant -
Those men who know the heat and loneliness of calvary. Possibly you cherish men of this stamp because you recognize the mark of your only son in them.

We lost a special canine friend last month who was over 17 years and had an aggressive inoperable cancer and it is never easy losing a dog. Even our St. Bernard misses her companion of 9.5 years and searched the house daily trying to find her friend Red Dog we have a new puppy now and our aging St. Bernard lavishes much attention upon him.

Amen brother. My wife and I take in as many abandoned dogs and cat even a parrot as we can afford and believe you would not believe mans cruelity to our lesser animas. It's heart wrenching to say the least.
Action always say more than words.
