Yeah do it and let me know.. I have been known to take a Silver Maple to the jewelers and have him roll it flat.. about 8 inches long and 2 or 3 inches wide and cut it into long strips.

This works but I have wondered if during the rolling process some impurities were pushed into the silver from the rollers, which from what I gather needs to have a small bit of oil applied.
