Here in Texas, triple digits abound all over. You know, it's weird how people are talking about it - everyone agrees that this is NOT normal, that these are the kinds of temps we'd ordinarily see in mid-July into August.

And I'll tell you, this heat is "different" - it's a hotter type of heat, does that make sense?

Even when the sky is clear blue, the atmosphere seems somehow "hazy".

Also, plants that normally thrive this time of year are wilting, or have not bloomed as they usually would.

It's just so strange, a different feel about the environment.
