thereis no choice any more that if Americans want to keep thier standards of living then they absolutley must unite now .. . With the rise in standards in China, India & S. America and the degredation of N. American & European, all will live as 2nd world countries. Just right were we need to be for a totalitarian NWO take over.

Absolutely. The US Government should slap tarrifs on all imported goods, to make the PROHIBITIVELY expensive, INCLUDING those goods IMPORTED back into the country by so-called US Corporations.

Hind in hand with that, they should foster via very generaous tax breaks and other fiscal assistance programs, a re-creation of the industry in this country required to produce what we need DOMESTICALLY.

Add to that something on the order of a million-dollar per head LAYOFF TAX to reimburse the coffers of US assistance programs to aide the unemployed.

Also - Build a reinforced border defense network, including armed patrols and gun emplacements all along BOTH borders, with standing orders to shoot on sight any illegals trying to cross in the the USA.

Plus we have LOTS of unused trains, trucks, busses and aircraft, don't we? Hire people attached to ICE and the INS to round up and forcibly DEPORT all illegal aliens.

The above would be a pretty decent start.

Too late. It sould have been done a long, long time ago. Short of a very bloody revolution, there is no way out of this situation.

With a little luck, right? I mean, we can always HOPE!

Or do you think Americans have been so long in comfort and are so far gone that literally ANYTHING can be imposed on them, with nary a whimper of complaint?

Re: Without protectionism America and parts of Europe will seriously drop thier standards of living .
I like 510's ideas but they will never happen; because the rich people and the corporations exported all of our industrial good paying jobs overseas 30 years ago for cheap labor. Somehow those assholes figured the American people would keep having good paying jobs to buy all the cheap imports that they created from our old exported industries. You see the capitalists are very short sighted, they only look at the bottom line profits for one year at a time. They could care less how their actions will affect our country over a 50 year period; which is when they first started exporting our jobs back in the 1960's mostly electronics manufacturing and cameras etc. Yeah sure we should reestablish our old industrial base once again with real good paying jobs, but how are you going to do that when the rich people and the corporations they control still run our country; and all of its politicians? Their the ones that created this mess we are in in the first place and they still are running us right now. So how can we the common people get back control of our country? The rich people have been able to keep our country going by creating a false economy based on housing booms and cheap credit. This has finally come crumbling down and there is nothing left to replace it. They are now keeping us afloat by having the government print up U.S Treasury bonds bought by our own Federal Reserve. How long can they keep this ponzi game going now? No I don't think our country has much time left economically, it will collapse sooner rather than later because it is bankrupt. What we will get afterwards is anyone's guess. I think our people are going to be in for very hard times, and yes hopefully all of our people, even the rich capitalists will realize the mistakes they have made over the last fifty years and our country will then reestablish our former industries and start producing things in our own country once again; for our own people; and real good paying jobs once again; not shit minimum wage slave jobs that nobody in this county can live on. That is one thing about the President, the Democrats and the Republicans I find so annoying; they somehow think that by forcing the rich peoples banks to loan money to small businesses that this is going to create all kinds of jobs. I say that is bullshit, most small businesses hire the least amount of workers that they can, and usually at the minimum wage. This idea of theirs is not going to provide the good paying jobs this country needs to support families and buy homes and cars. To do that you need jobs that pay 40, 50,60, 80, 100 dollars an hour and 90% of all those jobs are now gone in our country. The only jobs left that pay that kind of money are, the filthy bankers, lawyers, doctors, engineers, police men, prison guards, politicians, big city mayors, governors and their assistants etc. All of the good paying jobs in this country are essentially gone now, namely, steel, and factory jobs, those were the kinds of jobs the average Joe could get in the old days and make a good wage in order to buy a home a raise a family. The only good paying factory jobs I can think of now left in our country are a few aircraft manufacturing jobs, and railroad engine manufacturing jobs. Railroad jobs in general still pay real good but there aren't that many of them as well as oil well workers. No the only way this country is going to get back in shape is to bring back all of our old manufacturing jobs and pay the workers real good wages. Otherwise we will become a third world country like everyone says. There will only be the very rich a few good paying wage jobs and the rest of the population will be very poor, I'd say about 70% of it, sort of like what Mexico is like now. Sorry I've talked too long.
