User ID: 554973 United States 02/15/2010 03:55 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Christians Futurists have so far given no credible answers. to even one question. Quoting: homemommyThank you. Here are some answers and a path to find the true answers to all of them. Ressurection In this part of the Plan of Salvation we will learn about the resurrection of mankind including who will be resurrected, when the resurrection will occur, and the resurrection of animals. What is Resurrection?: To accurately define the resurrection we must define death which is the separation of the body and the spirit. Thus, resurrection is the reuniting of the body and spirit into a perfect being. The body and mind will be perfect; there will be no diseases, illnesses, deformities, or other disabilities. The body and spirit will never again be separated- and die. "Resurrected beings have bodies of flesh and bones, tangible, corporeal bodies, bodies that occupy space, digest food, and have power, outwardly, to appear as mortal bodies do" ("Resurrection," 637.) Who Was Resurrected First?: Jesus Christ was the first person to be resurrected. He rose from the grave three days after he was crucified, and his resurrection was the culminating factor of the Atonement. The righteous dead who lived from the day of Adam to the time when Christ broke the bands of death "were with Christ in his resurrection" (D&C 133:55.) To learn more see, "Resurrection of Jesus Christ," and "What is Easter?" Who Will Be Resurrected?: Every person who has been born (and thus died) on Earth will be resurrected. It is a free gift to all and is not the result of good works or faith. (See the FAQ, "Saved by Works or Faith?") Jesus Christ made the resurrection possible when he himself broke the bands of death: "As in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive" (1 Corinthians 15:22.) When Will the Resurrection Occur?: Although every person will receive a resurrected body, not all will receive this gift at the same time. Jesus Christ was the first to break the bands of death. At the time of His resurrection, all the righteous dead who had lived from the day of Adam were also resurrected. To those who lived before the resurrection of Christ, this was known as the first resurrection. (See Matthew 27:52-53) However, for all those who lived after Christ's resurrection until the time of his Second Coming, the first resurrection is yet to happen. The four times appointed for the resurrection are as follows: Morning of the First Resurrection: All those who lived righteously and are destined to receive a full inheritance in the kingdom of God, will be resurrected at the time of Christ's second coming. They shall be caught up to meet the Lord at this time and will descend with him to reign during the millennial era. (See D&C 88:97-98) Afternoon of the First Resurrection: All those who lived, are Christ's, but are not worthy to receive a full inheritance in God's kingdom. They will receive a portion of Christ's glory but not a fullness. This resurrection will happen after Christ has ushered in the millennium. (See D&C 88:99) Second Resurrection: All those who were wicked in this life and who have suffered the wrath of God while in spirit prison, will come forth in this resurrection which will not happen until the end of the millennium. (See D&C 88:100-101) Resurrection of Damnation: The last to be resurrected are the sons of perdition who, in this life, gained a perfect knowledge of the divinity of Christ through the Holy Ghost but then chose Satan and came out in open rebellion against Christ. They will be cast out with the devil and his angels and receive no portion of Christ's glory. (See Hell in Three Kingdoms of Glory and D&C 88:102) Death During the Millennium: Those who live and die during Christ's millennial reign will not suffer death but will be changed in the "twinkling of an eye". "Wherefore, children shall grow up until they become old; old men shall die; but they shall not sleep in the dust, but they shall be changed in the twinkling of an eye" (D&C 63:51.) Resurrection of Earth and Beasts: Christ's redemption is infinite and extends beyond the salvation of man. The earth, as well as all life found upon the earth, will also come forth in the resurrection. (See Pet Loss to learn about the resurrection of pets.) "And the end shall come, and the heaven and the earth shall be consumed and pass away, and there shall be a new heaven and a new earth. "For all old things shall pass away, and all things shall become new, even the heaven and the earth, and all the fulness thereof, both men and beasts, the fowls of the air, and the fishes of the sea; "And not one hair, neither mote, shall be lost, for it is the workmanship of mine hand" (D&C 29:23-25) Next in God's Plan of Salvation is His Judgment. Revelation from beginning to end is full of time statements that indicate that the return of Christ is imminent. Revelation 1:1 things which must shortly take place 1:3 the time is at hand 2:16 I will come quickly 3:11 Behold, I come quickly 10:6 No more delay 12:12 Knows he has a short time 14:7 The hour of his judgment has come 22:6 Must shortly come to pass 22:7 I come quickly 22:10 Time is at hand 22:12 I am coming quickly 22:20 Surely I come quickly No where in Revelation does it suggest that the events spoken of are for a future generation or time. There is heavy emphasis that the time of Christ’s coming is at hand. |

If people like you do not want to take the time to do some research to find these answers that are already there by doing a simple GOOGLE search, exactly why do you feel that someone should sit here and answer every point? Many people on this board, as well as myself have already pointed out answers to many of these questions, yet people like yourself who are deaf will never listen nor those of you who see but are blind can never see the truth. If your own salvation means nothing to you than but to ridicule those of us that have tried to shared the TRUTH of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Creator and God, then so be it. It is by YOUR choice that you condemn yourself into an eternity without God. No one forces you to NOT seek the Lord, but the Lord has promised to reveal Himself to those who honestly seek Him. Instead of regurgitating the crap that people spew out about why they don't believe in God, maybe you should invest some time in looking for God Himself. God Bless!!! |

Do you show the same anger to others when they post something that you do not like? How dare you assume I don't know Christ!!! How dare you condemn me to a eternity without God!!! Is this how you witness to others? By saying these things? I am trying to show that the things that the MSM promotes as Bible truths are really lies. Why would the books, movies, "Christian" media that the world puts out be the right one? You shun the political and news MSM...but eat up the "Christian" version of MSM. Maybe you should look at a few of the questions and see if you can answer them. I could not. I had to eat a load of humble pie and ask forgiveness to the people that I had shared the version of the "End-Time" prophecy with that was really the World's version. It is not what the Bible really says. |

The Truth User ID: 892001 United States 02/15/2010 04:49 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The questions asked show that you have spent some time in the Bible or that you have been told a lot of things but that you did not see the answers or hear them because you do not believe. If you truely want the answers that you seek you must first accept Jesus Christ as your savior, acknowledge your sinful nature and ask Him to forgive you. Reading the Bible before doing that will never reveal all of what you seek to know. You will be given only enough to make a decision to deny or follow Christ. The Scribes asked Jesus many questions too, just as you ask the Christians on this site. The responce should be the same ... you are told but you do not hear. No man can make you hear or see the truth. Only God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit can do that. I pray that you will open your eyes to the Truth some day. The Bible states that only a few will. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 869435 United States 02/15/2010 05:59 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | re. #1.......perhaps this is because Daniel was written and addressed to Israel.......while Revelations was addressed to the Church. In a likewise fashion, the beginning of, say, Leviticus says who it is addressed to.....namely Israel. Revelation starts off with warnings to the various churches from Christ Himself. It would seem to make sense that Christians should read these now......and pay careful attention to what is being said. The 70 weeks prophecy was given to Daniel in answer to His prayer and intercession for his people Israel. Jerusalem had been destroyed and Israel taken into captivity. This was for multiple acts of rebellion over the years, including more recently the worship of foreign gods and the sacrificing of children to them. Daniel was begging forgiveness for Israel and asking how much longer God would hide his face from them. The answer was the 70 weeks prophecy. The command to rebuild Jerusalem can be found in the first two chapters of Nehemiah. It was given by King Artaxerxes in the year 445 B.C. The punishment would last 70 weeks of years, or 490 Hebrew years (based on the lunar calendar system of 360 days per year) 490 times 360 is 176,400 days. Divide this by 365 to get the number of Solar Years....which is what our current calendar system is. The result is 483.3 years. From 445 BC to the year Zero uses 445 years. The year Zero is not counted. Starting at year year 1 AD......you add the remaining years and it brings you to 39 AD. Had Israel accepted their King, the punishment would have ended in the year 39 AD. On Palm Sunday, the King rode in on a colt. Israel rejected their Messiah. He went to the cross. The most commonly accepted date given for this is 32 AD. 69 weeks of years brings you to 32 AD 70 weeks brings you to 39 AD. There is no evidence that fellowship between God and Israel has yet been restored......or that it was restored in 39 AD. In fact, Jerusalem was destroyed in 70 AD and the Jews were dispersed around the world. The final week of punishment has been postponed until the future. The Roman-Jewish War of 70 AD does not meet the specifications of Daniel Chapter 12. Whereas, the Roman-Jewish was terrible with several million being killed......World War II resulted in the deaths of 60-100 million people. The Roman War resulted in the deaths of approx. 2% of the world's population. World War II resulted in the deaths of approx 4.5% of the world's population. The carnage during the final end times will make World War II seem like a Kindergarten field trip. |
