Just ask Tim The Yowie Man, nicknamed after spotting the Australian Bigfoot, The Yowie, in his yard in 1994.
Tim says the east coast of Australia is a hotspot for monsters and mysterious cryptids because the terrain is vast and varied.
Many beasts dwell within the Aussie lakes, mountains, and forests, including the Buynip, an unusual, feathered water monster.
Though he’s never actually seen the Bunyip, Tim went looking for it once in a swamp and heard its loud mating roar, which was so “amazing” it left him shivering.
Tim’s dream is for more people to accept monster hunting as a serious profession.
Aussies may be swayed by a new exhibit at the Australian National Maritime Museum in Sydney called Mythic Creatures: Dragons, Unicorns, and Mermaids.
Tim will be speaking at the display and conducting nighttime monster hunting tours in an effort to further cryptozoology. |
