Christmas is already over and I missed it

I hadn't done any Christmas shopping in the stores yet since I did most of it online.
I went to a lot of stores today to buy some last minute gifts and I couldn't believe it. You wouldn't know it's Christmas time. There were hardly any Christmas decorations for sale. One store didn't have any.
I went to Stein Mart, T J Maxx, Hobby Lobby, Burlington Coat Factory, Marshalls, Seasonal Concepts and World Market.(yeah, it took 8 hrs.) Same thing everywhere, lots of clothes marked down a lot and not much of anything else. I kept asking clerks where all the stuff was but they didn't know. I think maybe the stores didn't order as much stock and they sold most of it. World Market was totally out of hot sauce. Who buys hot sauce for Christmas gifts except me?
I usually do my Christmas shopping late and I've never seen the stores like this. It's like Christmas is over and there's no Christmas stuff to put on sale. It's just gone.
