anyone else feel nostalgic that we've come to the end of another decade?

to be honest i feel nostalgic sometimes that we are reaching the end of the world.

I hate nostalgia. It's depressing. I don't like to be reminded of days gone by, time lost, getting older, memories of people I love that are no longer here. I'd rather just not think about all that.

Yeah, actually, the 00's have pretty much sucked bigtime. Jan 1/00 everyone was mellow and happy, NYE was peaceful and calm, and then WHAMMO SLAMMO, it's been all pretty much downhill from the get-go. Little did we know how fast it would unravel...........

I must confess I have been wrong about each succeeding decade that I have experienced....a couple at least, maybe even more...., I actually thought they could not possibly suck harder than the one before it......well...sapily hopeful once again...I do have hope this is the last year of a sucky decade and that the next one is better...disregard my track record please....

Nah, I'm more frightened to death about what's around the corner..

that's my view at the moment too... I think it's very unlikely anything gets better.

I only live a little more than 3 decades to tell though ... but this was the most shitty I witnessed ... maybe some of the older people here will disagree ... but we had shitty 911 in 2001 and now we have shitty healthcare and whatnot in 2009 ... so this decade becann like shit, ands like shitand has nothing but total fucked up events inbetween. I mean, can somebody tell at least one single worldwide event that was not shitty during the last decade ?

yupp ... three friends of mine died during that decade ... one suicide, two overdose ... this decade was shitty as fuck.
