I made a winter icicle treat for you

We have been having record cold for the last three nights. We broke our all time record Tuesday night by one degree, 16° (it was 14° at my place) in far north California.

This is hard on us because our buildings are not plumbed for such cold--widespread damage to houses and landscape are occurring all over--I've repaired two broken pipes myself.

So I decided to have a bit of fun with the cold rather than suffer with it, and I placed a sprinkler up in one of our sturdier trees before the hoses froze up.

Only three hours later, here is my winter wonderland:

Tonight I plan on making a skating rink on my driveway!
