IMHO...one only deserves what they get in the afterlife, by what theyve done in the material physical world..

I do not buy into the notion of religions that I must worship a certain spiritual entity...

I dont kill... I dont steal...I dont hurt others physically..etc....therefore I believe that any afterlife I shall be in, will be one where there wont be those evils present.

I will be more then happy to spend a etenrity with others who act and think the same as me...at least I wont have to here them tell me how I must live and worship

I think actions do matter. But they cannot save us, or earn us passage to heaven. Salvation comes by Jesus alone. But, what's important is that our actions here determine our capacity to enjoy eternity with God. It's for our own benefit that we follow God's advice and instruction. He can already see eternity. From God's vantage point, he sees the best ways for us. It is foolish not to listen to someone who already knows the outcome of everything on earth, and into the eternal. Just plain foolish.

God says to me that if I live in a certain way, it will ultimately harm me in the eternal, and even now in this life. I am going to listen to that advice and act on it, because I take that very seriously.

People tend to live in the now, but there is a bigger picture out there. Forever is a long time. Not only does God let us know how to get through this life expediently, he also makes it clear that this life has a direct impact on the bigger picture that we cannot reverse once we are already dead. It's important information we have at our disposal.

I attended a church where there was a "preacher" that preached "fire and brimstone" and it drove me right out of the church. He condemned the people and his message left many feeling hopeless and confused because we could not "live up" to what God wants. He was heavy handed with the law and did not balance that with grace. His style was even condescending and superior at times.

I think hell should be taught in a way that educates a person on the reality and the details. Not in a way that is outright condemnation. That is what the Holy Spirit does. It is that spirit of God that convicts a man or woman's heart. We only deliver a message, we are not supposed to attach our hang ups and emotions to that message, or fight with people about it.

I now attend a church that has a TEACHER, not a preacher. Preachers demand and talk AT you. Teachers educate and talk WITH you.

It isn't your place to judge me, not now, not ever. you my dear will have a lot to answer upon your head for your heart is empty of all but smearing of fowl blood.

So you claim to be perfect, so since you will never die, how is that working out for you.
