I fully understand where you are coming from. You use the word "you" for my case it looks like to me. Could I refer you to my threads? See, type in Little Star and see how many threads I have started over the 8 years I have been here. It will not even fill up a 1/4 of any page. But that is their problem, not ours. Look for yourself and how you can reflect your image at others. I can assure you love will come your way, and life will be a grand journey for you.

That hurt can come from a church system, which usually pushes a person away from God. But the person does not see that God had no part in that pushing away from a church. All religions do that! Division is their motto! Christ taught that, and when you get handle on it, you will be at peace.

Bob, as you well know most Xians aren't interested in truth. They belong to a brainwashing cult and if you question their core beliefs, "one way", "Jesus died for my sins and if you don't accept him as your personal savior, you'll burn in hell forever", Jesus was a blood sacrifice to appease an angry God, you are not allowed in the cult.

It's not their beliefs that are annoying. I enjoy people who believe. I find people without faith hard to deal with. I get the perception that these religious posters are not new to the faith.

To me religious preoccupation is a mistake to be made by people who are new to faith. I went through that stage when I was 20. I thought I couldn't listen to secular music. Now as a Christian, right now I am listening to Audioslave.

There was a stage when I thought I had to do the Jesus speak, and talk about Jesus all day long, versus a sport that I love, like kayaking, sailing, or music that I enjoy.

Maybe my perceptions about the Elijah the Tishbites are wrong. It just seems to me the gloom and doom, repent speeches serve no purpose.

We read that and we like it because of one reason: We dont want anyone to JUDGE US. That we way we can say what we want and do what we want because we can fall back on,

Hmmmmmm. You see, the problem is that to many of us only understand the Bible superfically. We major in the minors and ignore or miss what is actually intended by many Bible passages.

Good heavens, child, you were never meant to become an automaton spouting scriptures non-stop and reading the bible every moment of the day. Those 'praise the Lord' folks gag me too. (I can call you child because I know I am older than you--I have achieved that 'matronly' position)

You were called to be FILLED with the Spirit to guide you through your days and nights and for that Spirit to speak out from you in all the things you do, great and small, as a witness to your hope of a better life eternal.

That way the people you meet see something special in you and desire it.

I do find, however, that the closer I get to my Creator, the farther away I get from many earthly interests I had before...they are just not profitable nor edifying--nor enjoyable for the most part.

I listen to all sorts of music, my tastes run the gamut...but I find many forms of music to fly in the face of the pure spirit I aspire to.

Same thing in movies, television, literature and people. I find them empty in the least and dangerously evil at the extreme, so I avoid them.

The parables concerning leven corrupting the pure matzos bread of the soul certainly applies here.

The gloom and doom has its place to an unrepentant world...that way when they stand in judgement before their Creator they will have NO EXCUSE for their sentence.

If it does not apply to you...then pass it by and pray for those to whom it DOES apply.

Time is so short it is scary.

My neighbor and I went fishing and caught 47 perch.

If there are no Muslims, or Mormons, or Hindues then that is because they do not want to talk about their religion.

It is in fact healthy for Christians to talk with others Christians. Healthy debate strengthens ones resolve even if we do not agree. Civil debate is the essence of understanding and learning.

Christ never intended for people to start a religion based on him. The search for the truth is a never ending process and anyone who restricts themselves to one book or one organization will almost surely not find the truth in this lifetime.

The kingdom of God is within and you connect to it by quieting your mind so that your divinity can manifest. As long as we have a need to argue about anything, our minds are not quiet.

Quieting your mind for the sake of quieting your mind just serves to make noises louder.

She called herself "Mother Nature" and the Mother of God who she said was Timuz. That is where Catholic doctrine begins in the Mother/Son worship.

I attended the Assembly of God church a 300 member church in my town, for 26 years, with my four children.

One year before 9/11 the Holy Spirit moved very powerfully upon me to bring forth a strong message via a "word of prophecy" for the church. It was a warning of hard times to come in America, but with exoration to stay faithful to Jesus.

The next time I went to that church I was told to SHUT my mouth and to never speak there again. My reply to the elder telling me that was that . . . "I have to obey God rather than man.

A few days later I received a CERTIFIED letter with two sentances from the AOG. I was BANNED FROM THE CHURCH and I was told if I stepped foot on their property I would be ARRESTED for illegal trespassing.

My adult son and daughter who are Christians were in my home the day I received the letter. My son will now have nothing to do with any church, and it's a mircale they BOTH still love the Lord.

Sometimes it's hard to seperate the actions of "Christians" toward us, from what the LORD JESUS CHRIST TRULY IS and REPRESNTS in our lives.

I still serve the Lord, and would encouagre anyone who has has a bad experience with the "church" or 'Christian message boards [which I have had also] to SHAKE THE DUST FROM OFF YOUR FEET and continue loving,trusting, and serving the HOLY GOD who loves us.

I am currently 67 years of age and have been saved for 44 years.
