Quoting: Anonymous Coward 765075Shame i'm not really one with my body when i take them..i turn into a floating head when i take them lmao. I get the urge to drive into the country at dusk, mistake curious bats for living boomerangs, then I usually try to find a large stick and run across marshy ground, thinking I'm Superman. And mistaking the Moon for the Sun, all those kinda things. It is the Thunderbolt that steers the Universe - Heraclitus |

I haven't found any in this town yet, but have just recently made a new friend who says she knows where to find them. weeeee It is the Thunderbolt that steers the Universe - Heraclitus |

However, I have never been able to find and identify sillies. :(. I have heard that they put a spore killer in cattle feed now so it does not grow on the dung. I think I need someone in the know to take me out and show me some sillies, and then I would be on my way - if you get my meaning. There was this show this morning on local public tv called "Cultivating Life" and this particular show was all about edible mushrooms. They visited a couple of commercial growing operations. It was very cool. You can buy a loaf of material that will produce a nice supply of mushrooms for the kitchen. I am looking for links. |

They're kind of mainly dark brown colour, with a nipply bit on the peak, which is darker. There's another variety that grow round here which you can quite easily mistake for psilocybin 'shrooms if you haven't picked since last year, but they have visible ribs/veins that go from the peak down the the edge of the cup. They have a less noticeable nipple- if at all- and the cup gets more translucent towards the bottom where you can spot the ribs/veins. Pscilocybin mushrooms don't have those ribs/veins. [link to www.talktofrank.com] ^These ones are DRIED, and therefore paler than they look when ripe for picking. Imagine them darker and slimier, with a bit more body. Oh yeah, and without wrinkles. But if they've been undisturbed by rain [or humans], and have been subject to sunlight for a day or so, they may be a paler, coffee-cream colour. S**t, I should have thought of that earlier. Quoting: DrPostmanI know that they are almost impossible to find around Memphis. That really sucks for me. My cousin has a "hunting" cabin a few hours north of me. We go up for morels in the spring and always come back with 5 or 6 shopping bags full...each. It's the highlight of the spring In ten years we'll look back on this moment, laugh nervously, and quickly change the subject. |

Looks like May is the time for Morels in the U.K. too, so different species flourish at their own time of year it seems. It is the Thunderbolt that steers the Universe - Heraclitus |

htp,nli User ID: 686272 United States 09/10/2009 07:09 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | BTW, Celtic, one of the best New Year's Eves of my life was in a little town in the Borders region of Scotland. We ditched a party of hippies at a sheep farm in the hills and ended up at a butcher's house in Galashiels(sp) or Melrose, or somethin' like that. Don't remember the town, it was 30 years ago. That is some mighty fine country around there and the townfolk were a blast to party with. |
