I have some weird brain shit going on myself, the docs are clueless, but the neurologist mentioned MS. This clicked when you said you are 'seeing things' because seeing little flashes of light can be part of MS symptomatology. So yeah, I would recommend going to a neurologist but even after all the tests and $$$ you might end up like me, they don't know what the hell it is. Good luck! |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 758025 United States 09/03/2009 01:16 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Blocked corotid artery: What are the symptoms? Most people with carotid artery stenosis usually have no symptoms. Some patients may notice a "swishing" noise in either ear with each heartbeat. This sound may occur as blood flows past a blockage in a carotid artery. If symptoms such as partial paralysis, blindness, or feelings of numbness are present, there is great risk of a major stroke. Symptoms of stroke include paralysis of an arm or leg, vision and speech problems, and personality changes. These symptoms can be permanent. Carotid artery stenosis can also cause transient ischemic attacks (TIAs), also called “mini strokes.” With a TIA, small pieces of the fatty materials in the arteries break away and lodge in the small blood vessels leading to the vein. This blocks the blood supply to the brain temporarily and results in symptoms such as blindness in one eye, numbness and tingling of the skin, and weakness of an arm or a leg. TIAs usually last anywhere from 2 to 30 minutes. These symptoms are temporary and reversible, but people who have TIAs are more likely to have a stroke. [link to www.hmc.psu.edu] |

The CAT Scan saved my life. I had an Aneurysm of the brain. Do NOT waste time putting it off. You can be saved and live a normal life. Interventional Neuroradiology is your friend. Please take heed. |

Being * gnieB User ID: 609135 United States 09/03/2009 05:28 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Its obviously an indicator, however, don't panic; that will most probably cast you back into the "self" these indicators are attempting to "jar" you out of... The Human family is transitioning into a completely different consciousness that will connect you to "Being" in the moment as opposed to "doing" in the moment. Simply "go with it". Your "higher self" (aspect of your common presence that is directly connected to the Spirit) is applying a shock to dispose you to this quite new way of being. It will be very useful to be in this "attentive to the inner" (and and concurrent otter) state as the current obsolete paradigm shifts in the months to come. Realize you are not alone, you have plenty of company as thing s are amping up. You may be quite profoundly surprised at you ability to maintain detachment thru this stuff. All the very best! |
