Maybe Death Is A Gift..
We spend our whole life trying to stop death. Eating, inventing, loving, praying, fighting, killing. But what do we really know about death? Just that nobody comes back. Then there comes a point - a moment - in life when your mind outlives its desires, its obsessions, when your habits survive your dreams, and when your losses... Maybe death is a gift.

Thought provoking.

I think if people knew the truth about death - people would stupidly end their lives earlier.
Personal responsibility - try it sometime. Quit blaming others for your bad choices. Consequences happen.

Well, of course. I do think that the "end result" is earned, though. How it is earned, I have no clue.

Are you people serious? Death is not a gift. Death is the end. The bible says that once you die you never again have anything to do with anything under the sun again. (that means, no sticking around like a ghost-or shall I say familiar spirit) Not to mention, your memory is erased. It is the very end. It's over! You had one chance to live and then its gone.

If you are lucky enough to make it to heaven one day, then you will experience a new way of living. No pizza, no cheeseburgers, no chocolate malts. You will never marry in heaven. Not to mention, you will never make love again.

So, you better just live your life to the fullest why you have the chance.

Ill explain what I think death is, take a random day in your past one that you have forgot..hey maybe it was a nice day but you have no recollection of it. What you were doing that day is gone forever times hundreds of days.

Death is one of those days but perminant. If you think nothing doesnt exist you havnt been knocked out :D.

Pizza, chocolate malts etc. etc......and on the other side of the coin there is sickness and misery and some really shitty things in this life. This life could be nothing if the next life is so much better.

I wouldnt be so quick to believe what the "bible" says about death... or any other subject for that matter. The bible is nothing more that a book of fairytales, written by men for the sake of keeping the human population from seeking the "REAL THRUTH" about who we are, where we come from and where we are going.

If you are lucky enough to make it to heaven one day, then you will experience a new way of living. No pizza, no cheeseburgers, no chocolate malts. You will never marry in heaven. Not to mention, you will never make love again.

Do you really believe in heaven and hell? Does it really exhist? Do you really believe that when you die, everything else ends? Your light is switched off and thats it? Sorry to burst your bubble but that is not the way death works... Death is the end of life in this diminsion, thats all. When you die, your soul moves to a higher dimension, you are free to return here anytime you so wish, you are free to do what you like... the only difference between life and death is that in death, there is no more communication (as you know it) with family and loved ones.

So, you better just live your life to the fullest why you have the chance.

Yes... live your life to the fullest, learn all you can, do all you can, but most of all... put aside your bible and learn to see the world and your life the way our creator intended and not follow the bullshit rules you are fed from the bible, from TPTB and whoever else out there calls the shots.

I'm sorry but the bible is what I go by in order to live life the way that our creator (God) has asked us to. I'm sorry that you haven't experienced the true meaning to life, which is found in the bible. I don't want to argue with you about the bible because that is not God's will. But, I would like to defend it by saying that it is not a book of fairytales. Once you understand the true meaning and understand it, you will see the love that God has for each one of his creations.

Do you really believe in heaven and hell? Does it really exhist? Do you really believe that when you die, everything else ends? Your light is switched off and thats it? Sorry to burst your bubble but that is not the way death works... Death is the end of life in this diminsion, thats all. It would be wonderful if we were able to continue living after we die. However, I don't believe that is the case. Plus that, for someone like me who loves to communicate, then what kind of living would that be? Just the thought of being able to see my husband or children and not being able to hug them or communicate with them would be "hell" to me. But, I understand that we all have different beliefs. But, for me, personally, I would rather not stick around and watch life go on without me. How sad! But, as far as your question, yes I believe in heaven and hell. I believe that your light is switched off, at least temporarily, until Jesus returns for his bride. Then, we will live an entirely new kind of life, in a new body, with no sickness or pain or sadness of any kind. We aren't even able to comprehend something so wonderful the bible says.

Yes... live your life to the fullest, learn all you can, do all you can, but most of all... put aside your bible and learn to see the world and your life the way our creator intended and not follow the bullshit rules you are fed from the bible, from TPTB and whoever else out there calls the shots.

I'm sorry we don't agree on this subject, but thats ok. I, for one, didn't start "living" until I understood how God intended for me to live. The love for my fellow man, and the forgiveness that I have for everyone that has ever hurt me. Before I realized all that God wanted me to do, I walked around in bondage to the unforgiveness that I carried each and every day. Now that all of the weight I was carrying on my shoulders has been lifted, I can experience life to the fullest on earth, and look forward to what God has to offer later on.

Lets agree to disagree?

 Quoting: Art Deco

Death is the Doorway to a greater life. sun

From the book: The Infinite Atonement

While Adam and Eve lived in the Garden of Eden, they found themselves subject to four basic conditions—two positive and two negative.1 First, they were immortal,2 not subject to pain, disease, or death. Speaking of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, God said, “In the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die” (Genesis 2:17), implying that in the interim, until such an event should occur, Adam and Eve would enjoy a state of immortality. This was a positive.
Second, Adam and Eve walked and talked in the presence of God. This was also a positive. The Prophet Joseph spoke of those glorious days when “God conversed with him [Adam] face to face. In his presence he was permitted to stand, and from his own mouth he was permitted to receive instruction. He heard his [God's] voice, walked before him and gazed upon his glory, while intelligence burst upon his understanding.”3
Parley P. Pratt had a similar vision of the Garden: “He [Adam] stood in the presence of his Maker, conversed with him face to face, and gazed upon his glory, without a dimming veil between. O reader, contemplate for a moment this beautiful creation, with peace and plenty: the earth teeming with harmless animals, . . . the air swarming with delightful birds whose never-ceasing notes filled the air with varied melody; . . . while legions of angels encamped round about him and joined their glad voices in grateful songs of praise and shouts of joy. Neither sigh nor groan was heard through the vast expanse; neither were there sorrow, fear, pain, weeping, sickness, nor death; neither contentions, wars, nor bloodshed; but peace crowned the seasons as they rolled, and life, joy, and love reigned over all God’s works.”4
It is hard to imagine a more idyllic setting in which to reside. Adam and Eve were spiritually alive, basking in the presence of our divine Father.

Unlike the first two conditions, the third was a negative. Adam and Eve were in a state of innocence, without a full knowledge of good and evil, and thus unable to experience a fulness of joy. Lehi describes this condition: “And all things which were created must have remained in the same state in which they were after they were created; and they must have remained forever, and had no end. . . . Wherefore they would have remained in a state of innocence, having no joy, for they knew no misery; doing no good, for they knew no sin” (2 Nephi 2:22–23). This was an obstacle to their individual development and progression. Without a complete knowledge of good and evil, Adam and Eve could not exercise the full moral agency that was necessary to bring them to godhood. John Fiske, a Harvard philosopher, grasped this dilemma:

“Clearly, for strong and resolute men and women an Eden would be but a fool’s paradise. How could anything fit to be called character have ever been produced there? . . . We can at least begin to realize distinctly that unless our eyes had been opened at some time, so that we might come to know the good and the evil, we should never have become fashioned in God’s image. We should have been the denizens of a world of puppets, where neither morality nor religion could have found place or meaning.”5

Professor Fiske understood the transient nature of the Garden in God’s plan. Eden was a way-station, not a destination. It was a temporary resting spot in the journey of life. One could not expect to become like God in the Garden of Eden any more than one could expect to drive from Los Angeles to New York while in neutral. Except for the tree of knowledge of good and evil, there were no challenges, no temptations, and no obstacles in that quasi-heavenly setting. Accordingly, there could be no progression. They were temporarily stuck in a world of spiritual sterility.

Lehi spoke of those creations that might be placed in a state where no opposition existed: “Wherefore, it must needs have been created for a thing of naught; wherefore there would have been no purpose in the end of its creation” (2 Nephi 2:12).

The fourth condition was likewise negative. As long as they remained in this garden state, Adam and Eve would have no children (2 Nephi 2:23), no joy in a posterity. What a devastating drawback. Under these conditions they could not obey the divine command to multiply and replenish the earth, which was the foremost design and object of their married life. This condition, if allowed to remain, would have completely negated the reasons the sons of God shouted for joy in premortal times. A continuation of this condition would literally defeat the plan of salvation.
