If weed doesn't heighten your state of awareness you aren't doing it right.

Depends what you call 'heighten'. It's a depressant, and that's the effect I've always found. Great stuff for passing around a campfire or something, for the cool relaxed sitting around talking shite sort of effect. But if I want to think clearly about things, I'd be sure not to touch the stuff.

'Assassin' derives from the Arabic word Hashshashin, a militant Ismailite Persian sect. The word Hashish (of probable Persian origin) refers to resin collected from the cannabis flowers,and their contemporaries in the Muslim world would call them hash-ishiyun, "hashish-smokers";

The marijuana kills you slowly like tobacco or much alcohol, this is the fact.

If to many people smoked weed they might wake up

... I don't know what you've been smoking, but it wasn't weed. 'Wake up' is about the last phrase I'd ever use to describe the effects of cannabis.

'If too many people smoked weed they might lie around on sofas in darkened rooms talking crap, laughing at unfunny non-jokes and eating too many Jaffa Cakes' might be a better way to put it.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 660262

Spoken like a true sheeple. Apparently, you do not know many MATURE adults who indulge. There are hundreds of thousands, if not many millions, who live very productive lives, are at the top of their professions, and they all smoke weed. One reason you may not see this, is they do not advertise they indulge, because there are so many people out there, like yourself, who do not have a clue as to this weeds effects. Pull your head out of your ass, and do a little research. Life is not about what you see on TV.

Thank you, Mr. P.,
Thats an extemely good point, actually the only point. Decriminalization does not mean that you will be free to run around town smokin it up, nor does it mean you can go down to the corner store and pick up a pack of J's....that would be legalization. Decriminalization is not legalization, it is simply a lesser penalty, most likely rather than popping ya with jailtime, probation, or the like, you will instead get hit with the max fine allowed, and the other penalties simply not imposed, after all that would cost them, making it only a fine would just be a money maker for them, and the current economic status of most states would leave me to believe that they'd be out to get ya even more. Decriminalization....just another compromise devised to give you what you think you want, making you feel like you've won something, yet all the while marijuana is still illegal. I am 100% for the legalization of, yet 100% againt decriminalization, and even for medical marijuana, both of those are simply compromises.

NO

POT should not be decriminalized, it should be

LEGALIZED

its all a front, no way man would ever be able to lord over the lords creation.

it is here, is it not? it is a plant, is it not?

im sure, if pot existed 2000 years ago, something would have bene mentioned in the bible about it, if you want to drag that into this.

but even if you dont, its a totally fucking ridiculous situation we find ourselves in, fighting over whether or not we should allow people to consume a plant that grows on this earth, and requires nothing but love and care, and a little snip and hang, as compared to chemical manipulation in order to make.

seriously, fucking retarded.

In the stoner stereotype, pot smokers and dying brain cells go hand in hand. However, new research suggests the situation may be more uplifting than that. A drug that functions as concentrated marijuana does may spur neurogenesis neurogenesis /neu·ro·gen·e·sis/ (-jen´e-sis) the development of nervous tissue.
neu·ro·gen·e·sis
n.
Formation of nervous tissue.

neurogenesis

the development of nervous tissue. , the process by which the brain gives birth to new nerve cells.

 Quoting: Reality is BS

Also, if I may add... if weed doesn't heighten your state of awareness - the plant doesn't like you.

The plant doesn't bend it's will to suit yours to fulfill awareness.

Cannabis, just like Psilocybe Cubensis is a SENTIENT consciousness.

I know PLENTY of "hard core" stoners who have been smoking for years and years... and everytime i'm with them, and smoke there weed, it's always the shittiest weed on the planet...

But on the other hand... I know a handful of VERY spiritual people, who ALWAYS have the BEST stashes on the planet... these are artists... writers... doctors... etc etc.. and they always have very cerebral stashes of Cannabis, while most people never get to experience this crop...

I've come to the conclusion, that, Cannabis chooses you, you don't choose it.

If you don't come across good bud or the bud you're smoking isn't spiritually enlightening or spiritually awakening, then the basic fact is this:

The plant doesn't like you.

You lose what you criticize, and if you harbor any negative beliefs about the plant, expect the spiritually awakening process of Cannabis to take wings and fly away.

By criticizing the effects of the plant, you seal your fate that it won't help you attain Nirvana... or Awakening...

Be nice to her and she will treat you good.

:)

In the same regard... when Cannabis & her cousins [hemp, ruderalis etc etc] are legalized... There will be a huge discrepancy between who the plant chooses to instill enlightenment upon.

Don't expect all the people who have been sending negative energy & hate vibes to the plant to be the first to "awaken" to her secrets & be granted salvation in the heavens above by her powers.

All the people who support her release will be greatly rewarded... No doubt in my mind about that...
