Yep happened with us years ago, two small dogs showed up on your front lawn. One eventually ran away....

The other one stayed and never let us out of his sight....

That's also how I found my cat 9 yrs. ago........

Thinking it was meant to be Tessa !! hf

She'll warm up to you, give her time ....

That's how our dog was, he was scared of us, till he realized he had it made.....

He was the best scruffy mutt I ever had....

You better get rid of it soon. If that is a puppy and it's already that big it'll be a beast later, throw it away! banana2

But what if the dog is indeed evil?

Her neurological network is imprinted with fear of humans that might easily grow to anger.

It does indeed look a little bit evil.

Never heard of angel dogs.

I could be wrong.

Re: Guess what I found this morning...
went out back to feed my dobie this morning and low and behold from the back of the yard comes this scrawny, skinny black lab puppy.

She looks to be about 5 or 6 months old. She's terrified of people but is starting to warm up to me :)

Dunno what I'm gonna do with her though, really can't afford another dog.

My dobie just loves her though, he's been playing with her and showing her around the yard lol.

Finally got her to eat something about an hour ago. Bless her little heart she seems like she's starving.

So strange, i have NO idea where she came from...

You'll more than likely end up keeping her Tessa, but there could be a kid somwhere crying over his lost puppy, so maybe you should make some enquiries before your heart really settles on her

Although the pup does look traumatized, you really should put posters out around the neighborhood or a found ad.

I did it for all my foundlings.

Some went, some stayed.

my cat did that for a little kitten once. It's funny! That kitten was so skinny. He would dig holes in the ground and eat worms. I figuared out thats how the kitten stayed alive. I hid food for him for one month away from my room mate and the kitten got attached to my cat. The kitten ran from me but they would meow to each other back n fourth at nights through my bedroom window.

Finally I got so annoyed one night cause the kitten crawled up on the trash bin and started meowing again to my cat through my bedroom window while I was trying to sleep. So I found that kitten a home. My room mate.... lol

He got attached to that kitten by first site.
Question authority every time. Ask them how that makes them feel. Ask them why? Ask them when you have an opinion with your opinion and question them with that! There is no being with ALL THE answers accept for God. Even still question. But trust if it's all good and loving then follow with your full heart believing. For the light will always be the light. It makes me a believer.

in a couple days she'll get a bath and get to come in

if she wants

oh ya'll it was pitiful
i went out to feed her and she tried to hide under our bikes

Just because its traumatized doesnt mean the previous owners are to blame.
The trauma in most cases comes from being lost....being hungry and being chased, honked at, people trying to run you over, rocks.... all that good stuff

Yeah, that's true, and dogs do get out of condition quite rapidly, especially the ones who were not overweight to begin with.

oh absolutely

we're taking a trip to the dr monday

usually you don't find heartworms in puppies less than 6 months, they just go ahead and start preventative

*used to work for a vet*

but she may have other worms for SURE. especially if she's been eating trash or neglected
and i'm sure she needs shots

oh man i love her already

can you tell? lol
