Sorry, but looking backwards to find a direction is ultimately self-defeating. If the older generations had all the answers, then why haven't they been able to solve any of their own problems?

Language is a fluid as water, and is simply a form of expression. It's the people who don't understand the grammar and syntax of a language that are threatened by it's use.

Fear is it's own worst enemy.

And, the so-called dead Latin language is the language of law.

I will stick with my thoughts on control of the masses.

Rap, Hip Hop, prison clothes that don't fit, guys wearing nylon shit on their heads, insane first names that are nothing more than hyper aggressive black separatism, and people intentionally trying to go trough life on fifty words of badly mangled English are not changes in culture.

They are the annihiliation of culture.

People believe they have the freedom to move around. The truth is, they are moved around through engineering. People are nothing but Human Resources and have little or no control over their lives.
The language is digressing naturally, to a point. As The Guy pointed out, this happens throughout time.

Multiculturalism is the plan. It provides a divide and conquer medium. When this is achieved, everyone will be controlled under one system. That is, unless people choose to stop it.

The reason multiculturalism doesn't work is because just about every group has their month, lol. We're being encouraged to "celebrate out differences" instead of assimilating into one culture.

Order out of Chaos, my friend. They can enact law to mess with us and control us this way.

Actually, I would not agree. Many "urban" terms and phrases are now common throughout American culture.

American English in general was once considered to a despicable abberration. In fact, English itself evoloved as a "degenerate" language, where Latin was the language of the elites and the educated.

How recent is "recently"? I mean with the continuous and continuously accelerating advent of new technologies and ideas, at least technical/business language is changing quickly.

I started reading Antic Hay (1923) recently, the language there was somewhat different than today I think.

This isn't just an urban or class phenomenon either. It can come from other specialized areas, such as military operations, and in turn it is popularized by pop culture. Take the words "gook" or "klik." We picked thos up from the Vitenam ers as a deragotory against Vietnamese people, and the other for a distance of travel derived from the word "kilometer." Or "Charlie" from the military phonetic alphabet shortened from "Victor Charlie." "V.C. = Viet Cong." So on and so forth.

My case-in-point... The word ain't was added after some time. It was not considered a proper word for a long period of time.
But since the middle class is being merged with the lower classed via the Communist blueprint, it has been adapted.

But language has been evolving since long before the Communist manifesto. Like I said, even proper English is a degenerate language of Latin. As is German, French, etc.

This is America though... I am speaking of the classes being merged now by design.

Some people are stupid enough they don't understand the thought, "If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it must be a duck." They look like fools, they walk like fools, they talk like fools...what do you suppose that makes them? McDonald's is usually hiring.

It's not your native language. That doesn't mean other people shouldn't speak or learn it.

That said, the most ghetto hood-rat you could ever hope to meet will speak text-book English if she's in a job interview.

People have adapted language, song, comedy, etc. for years just so that those in control do not understand easily what is being discussed. It seems to me, the person better off is the one that pays attention and understands on multiple levels.

It's funny though. You have people that will say something like "hangin with the homeboys" or "that dude got capped" yet still look down their nose at people. So in that respect there isn't so much a class merge happening just yet.

You also have the southern dialect and phraseology that is considered by some to be degenerate as well. Even more so because of the southern influence on hip hop icons, such as Snoop talking about an old batch of collard greens.

But that is actually the beauty of language, is that it does migrate across cultures. I hate to see it being abused to carry out an agenda though, which, like anything, it can be no doubt.

And of course, there is a darker side to it as well. I resent the rich little white kids from the burbs who would talk the slang and ride around in Mommy and Daddy's BMW, when they didn't know shit about what it meant to be from the streets. They would start slingin dope because they thought it was "cool" not because they were hungry. So in that respect, maybe people SHOULDN'T be taking on street-speak until they have earned their stripes, and know what the hell they are actually talking about.
