I am repinning this thread.

For those that have never seen this thread, it might change your life in these tryng times. So many out of work, so many loosing or lost hope of finding employment--DO NOT GIVE UP HOPE!!!!

Read this thread--it has helped so many, two that I can attest to, and could possibly change the life you have, if it is not what you want.

So many great ideas to pick up some extra cash, and best of all not have to give away hard earning to our dearly despised IRS.

Hope you can find something here to help you:

Here is my new idea to add:

Beeches--I showed that to two of the 14 years olds in the neighborhood who are constantly jonesing for cash Helped them build the first three early this summer and took them around to buy almost dead(store throw away) bedding plants for literally nickles--nurse them back to health--and then sell those pallets for 45 dollars apiece. Literally cost them maybe $3 to build, so it was all profit. They took orders for 11 more before the summer was over--just a lil sweat and inginuity. Now they can buy their own fishing lures instead of using up all mine!!!! And my yard has been mowed all summer--for nothing.

Kids have been taught how NOT to be creative and use what gifts GOD has given us--its up to the older ones of us to break that---so glad you enjoied it!

I breed pygmy goats. It takes a few hundred to get the first ones.

You need to research what people in your are looking for pets? milking?

Pick your male with the qualities you need. Like if they are for pets you will need one small with lots of colors.

I also started buying 2 week old chicks for $6. I raise them for 6 months and sell them when the start laying for $20

Decent photographers can show up at any sporting event or practice and take action pics and pass out cards with email addy. You would be amazed at the shitty pics parents will pay for, imagine what a good pic package can bring in even with selling for l ess than the competition...

I have a family member who used to wash windows when he was younger. He would make approx $400 and up on ONE house. This was in a small town in the mid-west.

I started a dog walking/pet sitting service a year ago and it has started to take off. I have a few clients who use my services every weekday as well as some who call me over when they go out of town.

If you're interested in something like this, I suggest creating a website with a blog as soon as possible so you can get your google search ranking higher as that can take some time. I started on the 4/5th pages of search and now I am on the first.

Also, get your loyal clients to review you online. It's hard to get Yelp reviews as the client usually have to be regular Yelp reviewers. If not, Yelp will usually hide reviews from people who have less than a handful of reviews over time. Instead, focus on getting Google reviews. These show up in the search results and are effective.

I imported a nice female German Shepherd from one of the top world championship show dog breeders... then looked for 2.5 years to find the right top of the line championship studs..

We had 5 puppies and I sold 3 for $2,500 because people wanted quality, real West German Shepherds and for protection.

Now I have two high quality 9 month dogs, one is the big alpha male and the other a beautiful female for breeding.. and all my investment back, except for the cost of equipment, training and food.

I know a breeder of cross-bred Shilow Shepherd who sells 40+ a year for $2,000 each.. and has a waiting list.

Make your hobby pay.

Pallet garden, that's something new that I haven't seen before, I like it! And here's one about a no-dig, no-till, no-weed garden through the use of a permanent wood chip mulch, watch this and also look for Ruth Stout's books about a permanent hay mulch:

I don't know if this was mentioned. But people pay for staging of their houses/apartments when selling. You buy a couple sets of furniture, then set them up in vacant houses. Just a couple rooms. A couch, couple tables. Maybe some paintings. A small bedroom set. Towels in the bathroom. A rug. It doesn't take much. Take yer cards to realty offices with a box of donuts. You can also do out door staging. Some plants and nice patio furniture. Maybe spread some mulch around.
oh yeah, fake TV too. Just find an old flat screen for free and gut it. If you rent a storage, and have multiple furnishing combos, you can do multiple houses and mix and match furniture. Just make sure it's all basic tones nothing too flashy.

Here is one that anybody can do.

Sell gigs on [link to fiverr.com] in a category that you would be good at. Yes the gig is only $5 but you can offer a lot of extras and limits to what $5 will get the client.

Upselling makes a huge difference in the bottom line.

Nice thread OP! Back in the early 80's, I was 12, my brother had the local paper route so I started my own gutter cleaning & lawn service, I did that on weekends & every summer for 3 years. During the summer I was making $500+ per week & on the weekends I easily cleared $200. Not bad for a preteen.
