Consider it a small price to pay for organic bug control, and the "price of admission" to the show you occasionally get to see. "There is no firm reason to anticipate that the intellectual capacities of peoples geographically separated in their evolution should prove to have evolved identically. Our wanting to reserve equal powers of reason as some universal heritage of humanity will not be enough to make it so." -- Nobel Prize-winner James Watson "The war is coming to the streets of America and if you are not keeping and bearing and practicing with your arms then you will be helpless and you will be the victim of evil." - Ted Nugent "Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end." -Unknown |

User ID: 697833 Canada 06/08/2009 02:00 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I'm surrounded by pie pans at KY. Those aren't so loud on a breeze. Pretty for snaps. Barely keeps out crows so probably not enough for bigger birds. Fake orange snake wind catchers I think are more effective since birds respond to bright colors of snakes. Also in Iowa they hang those disposable aluminum pie pans from tree limbs and a scarecrow. I don't know what they like to eat (beep beep) but I do know that they absolutely HATE fox urine and so do squirrels. Never thought to try it on the GLP squirrels but maybe.....well, that should be a different thread?? So in the scent section of your favorite sporting goods store get a bottle of fox urine and something to hold the smell (a rag, something pourous) and put it around your garden. They'll stay out. Good luck. |
