They were a great band ! The girl band was in back then used California Dreaming and Monday Monday. It put us on the road at 16-17, and in the company of Chicago, Jefferson Starship, C,S N & Y before they were that band, the Buckinghams, and Bob Hope, and more. We caught the attention of Brian Eptstein/Beatles, who wanted to sign us.

My bio father, a country star, was tasked by the Memphis mob with stopping us to keep Houston from becoming a music capital instead of Nashville. Dirty business for sure. It worked.
