We also use daily supplement and keep onhand Vit D3 - read up on numerous studies about Vitamin D3 deficiency in cause of flu. When anyone in the family shows sign of cold or flu, we use the “Vitamin D hammer” and megadose for a few days 20-25k units

Also use daily zinc, and up dose at first sign of cold or flu. Side benefits - fades age spots

I get it, and that's awesome. But let us not hide our heads completely up our asses either. The Spanish Flu claimed ONE THIRD of the population. That's 50 Million.

Sure, we are here and we are alive. But many suffered and died in that pandemic and it's ignorant to think it can never happen again.

I hope it does not, but chances are it will. I feel great compassion for the suffering of those who are affected. I feel badly for those who are immune, and to have a young child now with this going on must feel very scary.

Just being kind and supportive toward others who are stressed does not cost anything right now. And having your eyes open is always a good idea, that's not fear mongering. That's reality, Spanish Flu case in point.

Sorry, I mean I feel for those who have immunity problems. I quickly scanned the thread and this one person mentioned being immunocompromised. It's got to be troubling to be that person. Unlike some they can't be so flip to dismiss this. Have a little compassion for them.

I got H1N1 in 2009. It dragged on for months, turned into pneumonia. I felt horrible but months later I still felt sore and drained.
I have a gene that can cause a range of auto immune arthritis and the flu basically activated it. I have ankylosing spondylitis now. Although I didn't die from this flu it changed my life forever. I am on low dose chemo and pray I don't catch this new bug, it will likely kill me.
So I do have fear but it I think it is helpful to have a little fear, it teaches caution.

Thank you, OP. This Coronavirus thing is a bunch of bullshit. A few hundred (at tops) people have died, and a few thousand sick in China, out of a population of a billion and a half. This is a giant nothingburger with cheese.

They're just trying to create panic. They do this periodically with other threats that never pan out like Ebola, Sars, Mers, Swine flu. Every few years they push this bullshit.

Obviously people should stay calm and treat this like any other potential bad flu. Avoid crowds - and Chinese people this time - keep your immune system strong, avoid vaccines, keep your home remedies and other preps going.

Don't let yourselves be run off a cliff. Shame GLP is participating in this bullshit.
