Really, I just got booted from a board so I must be one, really there could be no possible other reason. That it was a mod was probably of no importance. In short there was this thread where a person whom I have had some disagreements with on my 'incorrect view' on certain things on a global nature. So we have a history that comes up (apparently)Anyway in this latest thread she started she told about a car skidding into a school-bus on which her kid was riding. There were no injuries to anybody but her closing comments was a paragraph where she is wanting to take the law into her own hands and do some real pain to the driver of the car. I thought that was a bit excessive for a minor fender-bender so I may have asked her if she was alright (under the assumption she might be in shock and not know it), well about two posts later this has gone downhill fast and far. As calmly as I could I explained that her comments indicated she might be totally fucking insane (if you want the exact words).
So anyway her friends come to her support, at least one actually encourages her to 'You go girl', in reply to what she would do to the driver, specifically stating that it would be outside the law. You can guess how it went .
So, if a person says stupid things that (most likely)won't be acted on can another call them insane and be correct even if it is not the 'popular view'?

The other place was just idiotic. Ah, I remember, it was called fuck_off. They sensored bigtime. I got booted for saying that I was fooling myself that a place like that would have any useful information. I was the only one there that has ever really been fuck_off. It didnt go over too well.

I guess what surprised me was seeing somebody who gets to criticize a person's view act the same way, or even worse, and then get immunity from being called out on it being 'improper'.
Then her 'friends' applaud her 'suggestions of how the situation would be handled if she was the boss.
It just seemed lemming like behavior. My 'real friends' certainly let me know when I'm being an ass, and at times they are correct.
Besides that was the not being able to see that I had some concern for her condition and get attacked for my trouble.

So that is the purpose of the thread, does that incident point to a condition that quite common and if so what other signs are there and is there any treatment available.

A part of truly learning to be an adult is coming to terms with the idea that most people, regardless of their respective age or experience, never reach that state emotionally.

It takes constant effort to grow. This includes most especially growing up!

Let go of your hurt over this event and try to understand simply what prompted it in the first place.

Remember that you are only able to control your own behavior and even when it impacts you negatively, you don't have the ability to control the actions of others, except by example.

On the internet the true face of others often comes out. It is an honor to see people as they truly are, try to take it as that, even when they could present themselves in a better light.

I was never hurt by the event, it surprised me.
True I could be a prick 100% of the time, but replying to her thread was done out of concern that she was acting in a hysterical manner. Had I known she would bite my head off...I would have cruised on by.

I am currently banned from GLP with my work connection. You have to love the consistency of the mods, I'm apparently to controversial with my work connection for GLP.
