THE SIN OF MATERIALISM and ITS CONSEQUENCES
The following might all seem far-fetched, as we, in this country and generation have lived very pampered lives and feel deserving of it. Even the present day churches teach that the many material things we have obtained are blessings from God, so we feel good about it and feel we're approved of by God as a nation. Recently, as we see the greed on Wall Street, and the actions of the bankers and corporations who have received taxpayer money, only to use it to give themselives bonuses, etc., the blinders of some are coming off as they realize we've become a nation consumed with greed. It's not limited to Wall Street. As you know, most of what your neighbors have was acquired on credit, as they also feel entitled to have many unnecessary things they can not afford. We've become a nation of spoiled brats focused on living as pampered a lifestyle as possible.
From the beginning God has warned people of the downfalls of materialism and its outcome. It's true that God provides, but when material things become what we really worship in our hearts, above God, and when God becomes santa claus in our minds, we have fallen far from the truth. God has destroyed entire nations for such practices, because He was disgusted, and so that such practices wouldn't contaminate other nations. Hopefully you have read the Book of Revelation and realize that in the end, God destroys an empire for its idol worship. If you've wondered what all of the horrific weather patterns are about, understand that God is ultimately in control of the weather, and it is Him who is pouring this destruction on us, until what takes place in the Book of Revelation is what happens here, and that's complete destruction.

History of Materialism and God's Judgment on It

Each and every time humans refused to follow God's instructions, they fell into idol (materialistic) worship and fell from God's grace. From the days of the original sin, God has been warning man of the outcome if he continued to refuse to listen. The first time was when He had to admonish Adam for wanting "things" God never intended him to have: *01 Later, when men subsequently built the Tower of Babel to make a name for themselves, God divided the people up into groups, then sent each group to different parts of the earth, and gave them each a different language, in order to prevent that concept from spreading: *02

Then it was Babel-on, with God subsequently having Achan and his entire family stoned to death because Achan, who was the man of the house, had been coveting Babylonish (material) things. God did not want Achan's children to be able to spread the concept of materialism after Achan had been killed for doing so, so He killed Achan's offspring as well. *03 Similarly, HE told the Jews to kill off entire nations of heathen people, so the HEATHEN concept would not be spread to His people. However, they failed or otherwise refused to do so, but instead, they married the heathen's women, and served their gods. *04

God then took the original Babylonian kingdom from king Nebuchadnezzar, and gave it to Nebuchadnezzar's son, Belshazzar, *08because king Nebuchadnezzar had turned his God-Given kingdom into an empire based on economic control over other countries, along with materialism, colonialism, and protectionism,.in exchange for his puppet governments that were answerable to him. *09(Read The Great Tree Parable - Hew down that tree)
All of which our government now justifies America doing, by calling it nation building. Read "The Beast That Was, Is Not, Yet is". *10

Then, God took the entire Babylonian Empire from king Belshazzar (Nebuchadnezzar's son), and gave half to the Medes (Radical Muslims), and the other half to the Persians (Conservative Muslims), *11because Belshazzar began using The Lord's Holy Vessels for he and his wives to drink wine from while they praised the gods of silver, gold, brass, iron, wood, and stone (the gods of materialism / the "I want more, more" way of life); gods which see not, hear not, know not, speak not; and, which gods, cannot respond to man's spiritual needs in any way. *12

And, isn't that exactly what MOST American churches are doing with their "name it and claim it" doctrines !! Whereas, God never promised to give you material things above and beyond your needs; And Jesus never promised to give you anything beyond HIS riches in Glory. *13 After all, Christ openly and repeatedly condemned men who had riches, so why on earth would He be giving them to His followers !!! The entire idea is idiotic and demonic. *14

And that very night God had Belshazzar killed for doing it. *15

From the very beginning, God Himself has made it clear through His prophets that there would be four separate empires that would commit that same sin of "Nebuchadnezzar style" materialism: *16 Which is defined as taking economic control over other countries, and providing them with materialism, colonialism, and protectionism, which results in the people of the nations being controlled, placing material "things" before their devotion to The Most High God. Just as the people of the controlling nation have been doing. *17

As you can plainly see, America is not the first empire to do these things. Those who do not see where America has become an empire might consider the text at: *18 The original Babylon being the first: *19ROME being the second: *20 The European Dynasties (ENGLAND) being the third: *21 and now we have Pax Americana, the Fourth Empire, which is America. *22 Each becoming worse than its predecessor as far as materialism is concerned. Each to be more severely punished by GOD than its predecessor in order to prevent the concept of "rule by materialistic control" from spreading: *23

As far as each empire's punishment becoming more severe: One look at history will tell you that while the original BABYLON was simply divided in two then given away,*SEE *08ROME (the second empire) was almost burned off the map, but permitted to survive as a greatly reduced nation (no longer an empire), while ENGLAND (the third empire) was not only reduced from being the only empire in history to ever rule the entire world, it has been reduced to being a small isolated nation. England was also - all but destroyed - economically.

Then, culminating in the prophesied absolute and total annihilation of the fourth empire to do so, along with both of it's neighbors; *24Meaning the entire continent will be totally destroyed in just one singular hour !! *25 The very same empire God refers to as "Judah, Israel's Treacherous Sister", *26 since both have England as their common mother; *27 And, which absolute destruction, HE has vowed to carry out by way of unexplainable natural disasters, weather related catastrophies, a failed economy, pandemics, and famine, *28ALL AS WARNINGS. Then, finally, by an all-consuming fire that can never be quenched; which will literally burn this fourth empire, and its neighbors, AND IT'S CHURCHES, off the map. *29

If you think the handwriting is now on the wall, you're getting the idea.

For those who don't think an entire continent can be burned off the map in just one singular hour, better think again, because it is not only scientifically possible, but scientifically INEVITABLE. See *30


AS DESCRIBED BY --ISAIAH --THE PROPHET:
Some seven hundred years before Christ: Speaking for, and on behalf of God Almighty: The prophet Isaiah spoke of a nation called Babylon, which God described as "The beauty of kingdoms, and the glory of the astrologers pride".
"Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it. For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine."
"And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees' excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah." (Isaiah 13:9-10, and 13:19, 750 years before Christ)

"As God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbour cities thereof, saith the LORD; so shall no man abide there, neither shall any son of man dwell therein." (Jeremiah 50:40, 600 years before Christ)


Notice that 700 years later, documenting that at the time of Christ, the subject prophecies of neither Isaiah, Zephaniah, Micah, Jeremiah, Daniel, nor any other prophet's prophecies related to the destruction of the nations being referred to as the second, third, or fourth Babylon have yet to be carried out. Whereas, it's clear from Jesus' own prophecies, that at the time of Christ, Jesus Himself was still prophesying that that very same event would take place in the future!
So much for the "preterist" cult's claim that all Bible Prophecy had been carried out by a time 70 years after Christ's Death !!
"Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give its light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken." (Jesus, in Matthew 24:29)
Again in the Book of Mark:
"But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give its light, And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory." (Jesus, in Mark 13:24-26)

Again in the Book of Revelation --- FORTY YEARS AFTER the Death of Christ:
"And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise." (Revelation 8:12)

Yet again in the Book of Revelation. Describing the H-P Reserve:
"And it opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit. (Revelation 9:2)

Further describing that nation's arrogance in the fourteenth chapter; Predicting the fall of Bel, and Nebo, that nation's false gods of science, materialism, and literature; Going on to describe her immorality; And, condemning her use of astrologers, all in chapter 46 of the Book of Isaiah.

Then, in chapter 47, The Lord reiterates his intent to utterly destroy that nation.
"Stand now with thine enchantments, and with the multitude of thy sorceries, wherein thou hast laboured from thy youth; if so be thou shalt be able to profit, if so be thou mayest prevail. Thou art wearied in the multitude of thy counsels. Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save thee from these things that shall come upon thee. Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame: there shall not be a coal to warm at, nor fire to sit before it." (Isaiah 47:12-14)

AS DESCRIBED BY--JEREMIAH-- THE PROPHET:
Some seventy five years later, in the year 626 B.C., and for a period of some seventy years: While speaking for, and on behalf of, God Almighty: The prophet Jeremiah (who was a resident of the first of four nations to be referred to as Babylon), describes the sins, the destruction, and the arrogance of a nation that he also refers to as Babylon; Going on to elaborate on the Plagues that will be sent to that nation during the last days. Then, in chapter 51, Jeremiah further describes The Lord's Wrath on (that) Babylon, by stating that He (The Lord) will first burn her up with fire, as stated in Jeremiah 51:25: "...And I will make you a burned out continent (mountain)."

Author's Note: In the days in which Scripture was written there was no such word as "continent" therefore to The Lord, and to prophets, a continent was simply a mountain that rises up out of the sea.

The Greek word for mountain, means to rise above, as a continent does from the ocean.
And after that, He will have her thrown into the sea, never to be seen again.
"The sea has come up over Babylon; She has been engulfed by its tumultuous waves." ...Just so, shall Babylon sink down and not rise again..." (see Jeremiah 50:32, 51:42 and 64. also see Daniel 7:11)

"O ye who dwell upon many waters, abundant in treasures, thine end is come, the measure of thy covetousness." (Jeremiah 51:13)

Then, compare these Scriptures with Revelation 8:8, wherein it states:
"And something like a great continent (mountain) burning with fire, was thrown into the sea..."

Also see Revelation 18:21, wherein it states:
"And a strong angel took up a stone like a great millstone (to signify industry), and threw it into the sea, saying, Thus will Babylon, the great city, be thrown down with violence, and will not be found any longer."




People who worship things made by the hands of men !!!

AS DESCRIBED BY -DANIEL-- THE PROPHET:
In verse 37-40 of chapter two of his Prophetic Book: While elaborating on Jeremiah's prophecy: *31 Daniel, the prophet, who's Authority to prophesy was verbally confirmed by Jesus Himself. *32 And, who was also a resident of the original nation to be referred to as Babylon, and who was at the same time elaborating on the prophecies of Isaiah, declared in God's Name that throughout earth's history there would in fact be four separate kingdoms to exist that would be referred to as Babylon, because all of their governments were, or will be, based on materialism. Going on to state that he (God Almighty) would utterly Destroy the FOURTH kingdom IN ONE HOUR, by way of an all consuming fire that can never be quenched. *33

After which, and only after which, will Jesus receive His Kingdom on earth, and as well, receive His Rightful Title as the KING OF KINGS. *34(Also see Matthew 24:15, then, Daniel 7:11, then, Revelation 14:11, 18:9, and 18:18)

Adding, that the fourth kingdom would be different than the first three kingdoms. (Daniel 7:23)

And yes, I'm aware that some, in their efforts to conceal the fact that America is the fourth kingdom mentioned in Daniel (and Revelation, et al), have deceitfully implied that Daniel wasn't even a prophet. However, let me also remind you that in Ezekiel 14:12-20, God Almighty Himself refers to Daniel as His prophet; And, let me further remind you that in Matthew 24:15, Jesus Himself clearly states that Daniel was/is His Father, God Almighty's prophet. So much for the talebearers who falsely claim that Daniel wasn't a prophet !!

Citing nothing but Scripture, the following chart will document that the fourth Babylon, the one God has vowed to destroy with an all consuming fire that can never be quenched, is none other than The United States of America.
