I just cringe when I see expensive shoes getting ruined by the rain and the snow, not to mention the hem of the dress pants Genesis 3:15: "And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel." Quoting: Anonymous Coward 602745I didn't know this. That's not fair! Over the last two years alone, I've lost at least 4 pairs of quality dress shoes to rain, snow, slush or what have you (not to mention sometimes sitting in the office the entire day with wet feet). As a relatively lazy dude, I put off getting rain boots for the longest time; until I received a great pair of kenneth cole rain boots as a gift. Wore them recently and kept my feet dried, so mission accomplished. A word of caution to guys thinking about wearing rain boots though - You gotta be really comfortable with your fashion identity before you decide to walk out in a pair. Because rain boots have historically (at least in the US) been the style-dominion of women, they've been relatively ignored in male fashion. So, don't be surprised if the sight of a guy wearing rain boots would insight questions of sexual orientation. If you're scared of being questioned for gay, then stay with the classic recommendation of sneakers, jeans and shirt. But for those who don't give a damn, I'd say keep rockin out your style; you set the trend-setter apart for the fashion-follower. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 833370 United Kingdom 01/08/2011 04:43 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Hmmmm, not sure what rain boots are, but in the 2nd week of December I was working in Essex...it snowed and then snowed some more, but on a hunch I took a pair of hiking boots and some jeans with me...my suit stayed in the suitcase and I lived in my boots 'n jeans for a week. |
