Quoting: HannibalTheCannibal It happens to me at least once or twice a week, ive suffered from sleep paralysis in the past. Im not sure if its heart related or what, i dont get any chest pains, my heart doesnt seem irregular because of it, im thinking i should go to the doctors. I have heard of this before, but i can never get a straight explanation, all i ever get is some mystic shit about how my body is trying to OBE and probably is every time i sleep. Perfectly normal and honestly wish I could do this easier. Do it more your just more open than most of us :) great love to you my friend. |

I found this thread by searching "Why do I vibrate when I wake up?" I am certain that you and I are experiencing the same phenomenon. I usually describe it to my friends as waking up feeling like I am literally a tuning fork that has recently been struck. The vibration continues for several seconds or for several minutes and slowly fades away. I realized something else. It usually goes away faster if I move. If I just lay there and 'feel' the vibration, it tends to linger longer. A curious correlation, to be sure. It always happens when waking, never before bed or during the day. I don't believe it is in the muscles like some say, it feels more like it is a neurological sensation, like my nervous system is the tuning fork. I do experience the fuzzy feeling as well along with it. The fuzz is not like when your arm goes to sleep, it is like a static permeates from your spine. I also have very vivid dreams. When I tell them to my best friend, he always says, "Wow, where do you come up with this stuff." I wake periodically through the night. I also tend to toss and turn a lot. To compare our two stories, I never had a problem with waking paralysis, but I do have a rare form of scoliosis, basically, a few of my vertebrae are overcompensating for a bad shoulder by leaning to one side and pinching a nerve. I don't know if this is causing the vibrations, however. Perhaps we should talk further to figure out what is going on with us. I wasn't able to read all of the thread here yet. Though, what I have read, has mostly been...unproductive. I assure you, I am serious that I am having the same symptoms. When I read your post, it was like you were telling my own story. If you have found out what is causing it, please message me. If not, lets discuss what symptoms we have in common. :) |
