It's usually sold on the streets (where available) in form of a little tubular piece, with around 6 to 12 grams (over here we call it Acorns). Bigger pieces normally come in a round form, known as Eggs. It's a soft hashish, you can shape it easyly with your fingers without using any heat. The best way to smoke it in a joint is to shape a thin-joint-long line of it, and put it inside the joint. You can also make a medal of it, and with a bit of heat it will boil imediatelly, allowing you to mix it quite well with the tobacco or weed (a mix of weed and hash is something not advisable for begginers hehe). I think it's not too easy to find it on the states (or north america in general), but I could be wrong. Over here, it's easyer and sometimes cheaper to find than weed.
