Not only can you use both, but there's an extension for FireFox called IE Tab that allows you to use IE embedded in FireFox. You click a button & switch right in the same tab. You can also specify certain web addresses to always load in IE or FireFox.

Im finally back! I did a crap load of maintenance stuff. Used a lot of links you all suggested. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR YOUR SUGGESTIONS. Now my pc is slow but I think I need to defrag since I deleted so much. You all should book mark this thread for valuable info. BTW I use IE.

And YES! You can use whatever browser you want. Yes, you can switch back and forth...

IE is the one that causes the most problems; it's the one most virus and bad guys target, eh. But it's a Microsoft product so that's what they (MS) insist that you use...for their sites

One good question is ,,is it really both youtube and you pc slowing or just youtube?

If it's just you tube then your isp is more than likely throttling you. If it's both then I don't have a freaking clue as to why it would only happen while loading a you tube.

Other than some one has loaded some thing on your pc to watch you unawares.

Oh well I gave it shot. Fuckit.
