 That's a real bee. The metal piece you have mistaken for his head is actually his helmet. I believe all worker bees are required to wear helmets now after the 9/11 attack.  Haha. You like that SouthernLight? But really that is a very cool picture. Do you have any of a Praying Mantis up close? Humor is Always good!!  Try this one... Not super closeup, but fairly nice catch.
