Curious, Duncan, Why ten dollar bills?
Because they probably spend the best. for example it could buy you a gallon of gas, a box of .22 LR ammunition, a couple gallons of water, etc.
Most Americans cannot accept the fact that the dollar will be worthless (at least, not any time soon).
But I can' think of anyone right now who I could go up to and trade an ounce of gold for a Ruger 10/22, do you?
Of course there are excellent alternate currencies, too, including the aforementined .22 LR ammunition, cigarettes, aspirin, oral antibiotics, and whiskey. You might want to diversify your wealth.
