Whether she hunts for sport or food is a legitimate question. Natives killed what they needed for food. Hunters for sport just want the rack and/or pelt. I don't believe that people eat wolves. Bears, maybe. Moose and Caribou, yes. Good job! You brought out Lotus and Predictor, which means you are on to something. |

Your kidding right? Wow, why do you think she did that? Possibly because they are over populated which could endanger not only the wolf and bear population due to inability of the land to support their numbers or even endanger people in towns. How would you like a hungry wolf to run off with your child while playing in your back yard! How many times have you had a bear knock over your trash can or threaten you outside of your house....yeah, right...not in your neat suburban neighborhoods where the wildest animal is a squirrel or a raccoon. What, does no one hunt here? 3/4 of the people I know have hunted...dove, quail, deer, fox, etc. Hell, we even have hunting seasons and licenses to kill these animals and more in every state in the US! Just because you do not hunt doesn't mean no one does. Some people consider it a sport. Often times the aerial hunting is due to the danger involved in hunting a bear or wolf pack. Ask the Bearman on TLC that was killed, mauled and probably partially eaten last year.....Please. Before judgements are made, get all the facts. |

There is no legal aerial wolf hunting. It is predator control done strictly by fish and game authorities. No bears are taken that way. All bear hunts must be done using fair chase principles, as with wolves or any other wildlife. I had a girlfriend that ate wolf on a regular basis in the Brooks Range. There are tons of wolves and bears in Alaska. I don't support predator control, but if humans are to hunt caribou and moose for food here then some herds simply need protection from the state. Sarah Palin is more down to earth and real than most of you can even conceive. She is human and the few people that are here are put first in her eyes. What do you advocate is done in these extreme and isolated cases? Lotus But remember this ...what comes around goes around and when you kill too much there are consequences to it. The heart becomes hard and cold and loveless. And people start thinkign they can dominate nature which we cant. Then nature strikes back and strikes back hard because that is how it works. that is how nature works. You play rought with nature and nature will play rough with you and nature ALWAYS wins. This is fairness. This is life. This is the way it must be. Live gentle with nature and nature will live gentle with you. We have seen nothing yet of natures fury and natures violence. Things are going to get far far worse. And it should. Because it is fair. Man cannot strong arm nature. We cannot bully nature. The land is not ours to rape and the animals are not there for our life. Animals have teeth and claws for a reason and soon it will be the Day of the Animals like never before. Man MUST humbled and we are not even close to humble at this point. Remember this ......wolves inhabited every square mile of this continent at one time. What happened to them ? They were hunted and the lands which they lived were ripped from them. Not just to survive but for greed and some vague idea of "progress". Alaskans are suppose to be roughing it and tougher than the rest of the country ...LOL ..yea right...With their cars, trucks, suvs and computers and high powered rifles and refrigerators and airplanes and every other modern day conveniences. LOL ..and they call me a hypocrite LOL ...like i said ...WE ARE ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL HYPOCRITES. IT IS JUST THAT SOME HAVE GOT THE BALLS TO ADMIT TO THAT. * |

If people can do it to animals in such a cold blooded fashion you know they can do it to people as well. It is just common sense. All life lives and breathes. BUT humans want more than just to live and breathe we need lands. Lots of it and we need stuff lots of it. We need more and more and more and more and more. And where does it end ? I have lived in the city and suburbs my whole life BUT what do you think they cities and suburbs were at one time. ...thats right...wilderness just like Alaska is and more so. But what happened ? It is gone ...why is it gone ? Because the killing of all life there was rationalized and justified just like you are doing. It was all for the greater good right ? Bullshit. * |
