I was using internet explorer, it wouldn't let me access glp any longer. Had to switch to firefox to get on.

Is anyone currently on using internet explorer. The Mods said they are working on it.

Same here. Using Firefox. The gubment is trying to block the news that they don't want us to see. they are trying to block any of our frequently astute posts from being seen.

Screw them.

They are in violation of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, and as such,
They have become enemy combatants, and according to the Patriot Act and HR.1955 are subject to detainment without access to an attorney, judicial process, for an indefinite period of time, and subject to torture without recourse.

IE is the only browser we've had reports about so far.

I think it's a conspiracy by Mozilla. ;)

It's the sitemeter code all over the net. The javascript isn't working with IE. Switch to firefox (or block the sitemeter code).

Ok so far I have this. To open GLP for now in IE go to:
Tools > Security and add GLP to your restricted sites list, you won't be able to log in, but you can still AC in IE. When I find which setting to change to enable log ins, I will let you all know.

This is a Sitemeter problem BTW, so either they will fix their code soon, or Sergio will remove remove the stats until they do.

Just got back into GLP. Also had to download Firefox. I was using IE7. Worked fine until today.

I noticed that another conspiracy site did the same thing to me. IE7 would not let me access the webpage. Said..."Operation Aborted".

Breathing easier now that I know it is not my laptop.

Thanks for the info, I have sitemeter on my homepage... I will go and disable the code for those IE users. I think there are still a few people that have not advanced beyond IE yet.

According to an independent study by Google Switzerland, IBM Internet Security Systems and CSG ETH Zurich, Mozilla Firefox users are the safest among web surfers (on average), because they are more likely to be running the latest and most secure version of their browser.
This research analyzed the user agent headers sent with Google search queries beetween January 2007 and June 2008 (lots of data points!), finding that more than 83% of the surveyed Firefox browsers were up-to-date. Safari scored 65.3%, Opera 58.1% and IE, not surprising, was the worst with 47.6% (it should be noticed, though, that IE6 has been considered, rightly, an “insecure version”).

The most important factor in this achievement is probably Firefox’s streamlined patching process, which is painless and hard to avoid: in facts, security updates are downloaded in background and proposed to the user as soon as they’re ready. He can refuse installing (e.g. not to interrupt his work), but as soon as the browser restarts they get installed nonetheless.
There’s obviously room for improvement. For instance, upgrading requires administrative privileges. Therefore, a warning to low-permissions users saying something like “You’re running an outdated version of Firefox, please ask your administrator to upgrade” would be helpful. But even so, Firefox already shows a stunning lead over its competitors.

One of the declared limits of this study is that nothing could be said about browser plugins, universally recognized as an endless source of security pain. Even on this side, though, Firefox has some clear advantages: plugins can be disabled either manually, from the Tools|Add-Ons|Plugins panel, or automatically through a centralized blacklist. Last but not least, if you’re really security minded, you can always adopt a whitelist approach.
The world woud be a thousand times better place if more cults existed.

Re: plz read -- browser problems.
OK I think I have the fix for IE7, it's not too complicated.

Go to tools > Internet options, menu will open. Go to Security tab.

Click on "Trusted sites" Add www.godlikeproductions.com and close. Returns to main menu.

Look lower in the menu in "Security level for this zone" Click "Custom level" menu opens. Scroll down to the "Scripting" area, first choice is "Active Scripting" Click on disable, hit OK.

You will return to Security menu. Click on "Internet".
Same procedure click custom level, scroll and disable active scripting.

Hit OK, should be good to go.

Please test and reply here.
Thanks, probably 20 seconds after I hit post, Sitemeter will have fixed it, lol.........;)

BTW I see everything on the site just fine, logged in, just no more Sitemeter counter at the bottom.
