Meanwhile, in America, equipment is designed to be sold with a 25 year manufacturers maintenance program that will pay them billions, and require experienced engineer-level degrees to do even the simplest of maintenance. A prime example is the Abrams tank. Ukrainians report that they are almost useless, breaking down constantly, requiring a specific blend of jet fuel, need a logistics chain to operate stretching anll of the way back to the factory, and cannot be repaired in the field.
