Religion is about moving from the illusionary "I", a virtual identity of the mind, to reality.

All five major religions offer correct and functioning ways to do this.

The fact that there are (apparently) different paths has to do with the perspective or point of view. For example, you can examine what you are, but you can also examine what you are not. You can also push or pull and you can actively search or simply let go.

In fact, there is only one way. From illusion to reality. This is what Jesus calls "way, truth, life". The absolute presence that is unattainable for you as an I-person.

I was once without any faith, then I found God and his only son Jesus Christ. Then I was ALL FOR THAT. For so many years, I followed the bible, the teachings, the laws, the rules, the works.

I traveled at lot, got to know people, cultures, even religions. Visiting a Shinto shrine in Japan got me terrified, I FELT that God didn't like that, I literally ran out of the gate.

Then getting to know the various gods in India, I didn't feel bad, they were like "ok".

European pagan religions can also be understood, they're not too bad either, I'm not buying them but ok.

Then I got around to Islam, and started to realize that they also have a LOT of GOOD points, nothing wrong with them either as such.

And then finally, I have been tried in my life with so many trials, but towards the end, I started to feel less and less connection to my Christian faith. Until I made a full revolt a few days ago - the thread can be found here - but it's more of a rant, so maybe not worth it to read it.

Now, I KNOW that our lives are not a co-incidence, SO many things do not happen by accident, there IS a plan for all of us. The world is so great and so beautiful - also so ugly - that it could not have happened by accident.

All of the above, has led me to believe, that maybe we ALL just have gotten it WRONG? I know that Jesus Christ is an actual historical person. So is Prophet Muhammad. So is Buddha (many versions of him), and the gazillion other prophets that there have been.

Just as much as I am writing this to you, there have been millions of people in history who have wanted to share their understanding of God, and have done so in SO many ways.

So maybe God just doesn't reveal himself to us? Maybe all these religions and prophets are just something that these people THOUGHT they were getting from God?

What IF, there IS a final judgement, that is INDEED judging us based on our actions on earth. There's no "get out of jail" -card, there's no shortcut, it's just what you did vs what you did not do.

And perhaps we will re-incarnate based on our actions, on this never-ending school of spiritual growth? Or perhaps there's NO JUDGEMENT, we are just given various lives to learn stuff, for something, that we cannot understand.

I actually tried getting back to God and Jesus Christ just today, and ended up getting a blocked feeling in my brians and a headache.


Actually now I'm finally beginning to see.

Religion is only good for social control and coping with death.

The name of Jesus work against evil, THAT I have seen.

Also, Ive seen miracles, so Im good.
