I wish I had more kids. I wish I bought some sort of cheap vacation home thingy instead of paying to go on vacations. I think both mistakes were due to lack of courage.

I wish I didn't expend so many brain cells on booze.

I wish I stayed on the diet of my grandparents, instead of all the experimenting I did.

I wish I didn't give out so much advice because looking back I wasn't always right.

Electrical contracting, pretty much all hard bids. I ran every thing from small to large scale commercial projects for over 25 years with the same company.

I knew I could run and turnout the jobs but, my hesitation was the fear of failure. I was also intimidated by the bidding process (which my employer kept me away from), once you have that knowledge and how to run the office.....you have the keys to a powerful machine.

Our jobs range from around 100k to 500k or a bit more. We're keeping it a small company based on quality. My wife was a school teacher and she quit when I did, she runs the office.

I don't think there is anything wrong with figuring out your mistakes. In a forum like this, it might help others. And better late than never for figuring out things, you never know if the same or similar problems will come up again.

never took the flu vaccine that ruined my life
never gotten a root canal
being born to better parents especially one who didn't get me pumped full of drugs every few days

Also wish I hadn't started drinking in HS and then onto Big oxy for back pain between 2003 to 2017.
The opiates especially are 'life ruiners' and if you've already always needed a crutch to get through stuff they are incredibly addictive.

You can tune in and be spiritual now. Find some quiet time to pray and meditate. Maybe fast to clean out everything. You can do it

in an office environment. the people end up arguing over a spreadsheet. or process. and who “works” more…. that’s the entire meaning of life. year in. and year out. i think it’s driven me a little mad…. and i regret allowing that to take up so much time of my existence. who is the office winner this month? who gets the special parking space?

Why? Will that make the world a better place? Will voter fraud disappear?

I'm comfortable, no real regrets. What's the point after the fact, except to learn from mistakes. Most of my big, reachable dreams came true, except they were much less grandiose in real life. . I try to take pleasure in the little things, like a nice sunset, or birds singing on a brisk spring day. You can't take anything with you at the end, except what's on the inside.

Yeah, I hate my whore, druggy, loser daughter. If I would have aimed higher, or lower, the world would be a better place.

At 50 you can still get a shitload done. Get off your ass and just do it.

yeah, that is my only regret ... not that my life was easy, not by a long shot, but when I look back, I don't regret it ... I stuffed it full and put a couple of lifetimes worth of experiences into it ... and it is true what the Mayan say about your 2nd life begining when you are 53 - and this one is so much better than the "learning" one
