When we were in Jerusalem in 2016 we were just looking around kind of lost and we came across this random local guy who we asked for directions. He asked us if we wanted a tour of the "real" city. We took him up on the offer and he gave us a tour of some of places normal tourist don't get to visit. This guy had connections took us into some of the tunnels near the temple mount. While we were there he introduced to one of the leaders of the Temple Institute who just happened to be in the same area. We had no idea who the guy was or that a temple institute even existed at the time. After the introduction we started asking our "tour guide" more about the future temple, etc. The one thing he said that really stuck with me was that a new temple would happen by the end of 2024. He would not say the reason that year was important but he was adamant that a new temple would be built by then end of that year. I guess we will see if he was correct.
